03.01.2022 Last night our Rangers had an International/World Guiding night! Usually when we do this at a normal meeting we would do activities like sing songs, learn dances, dress up, try international food or play games all in an effort to learn about countries around the world and Guiding in other places, but this time we were able to hear what it’s like straight from some of those people who live around the world! Our international night welcomed Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from:... Georgia Ukraine United Kingdom United States of America The Netherlands South Africa Australia (of course!) We shared with our international guests about Australia and Aboriginal Culture and they told us about their countries. We played a Kahoot game one of our Rangers, who’s working on her BP, made for us and we were also able to make our own collaborative art piece that we all added to too! Our new little international Ranger unit loved getting to compare the different badges we all have; did you know the Queens Guide Award in the UK is actually presented by a member of the Royal Family? (We were a bit excited by that! ) It’s definitely not very often that you can have so many Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from across the world in the one conversation! What an amazing opportunity for our Rangers to learn about Guiding and the world around them all from our Zoom meeting!

02.01.2022 Our Ranger Guides past, present and their parents can all testify to how accurate this is. Guides gives girls of all ages a community like no other to foster growth, development and confidence, but especially for our 14-18 year olds. If you know someone who may be interested, make sure you share and let them know, as our Ranger unit always has room for new friends! #rangers #venturer #rangerguides #goldcoastgirlguides #nerangrangerguides #teenagers #goldcoastkids #girlguides
