22.01.2022 Treating your symptoms externally and internally can reduce them exponentially - the right fuel and the correct bodywork (remove dents and bumps - massage and acupuncture) and paintwork (creams, balms) may reduce pain, relieve stress and correct imbalances in the physiological make-up of your body - you service your car - why not your own body. It is far more important!
20.01.2022 A lot of dust, pollen and possibly pollution in the air due to the gusty wind out today. If you have respiratory issues- asthma, hay fever or chemical allergies be cautious, drink plenty of water (helps keep mucous membranes lubricated, it’s easy become dehydrated in the dry winter air) or, if you can, stay indoors. A light scarf might be helpful.
20.01.2022 I have had a few clients talking up Swisse as an Australian company, sorry, they sold it - so please be aware of the origins of your supplements. Practitioner only products which are made by Australian based companies may have some parts sourced from overseas, but the companies are Australian owned and inspected regularly by the TGA. USA only get visits from FDA sporadically and are less stringent with regulations (from what I have been told - I am NO expert in legislation or inspection protocols here or in US, do your own research and be sure of your sources. I am all for education and am happy to listen to measured debates, no abuse will be tolerated.) https://www.smh.com.au//swisse-bought-by-hong-kong-company

15.01.2022 My first attempt at putting up an event post, might be a bit wordy, and it's not free! The Event won't let me remove that bit... there must be an easier way of doing these things.... three hours of my life I won't get back, and I would value some Constructive criticism. Be nice, but I do admit it would be useful to know how to do this better.
15.01.2022 Just made a natural re-mineralising whitening tooth powder - teeth feel shiny and tasted great! Cinnamon and clove and if swallowed it does no harm - take that toothpaste! Love it - pictures to follow once labels done...

14.01.2022 Its winter, its cold and its time when colds and flu rear their ugly heads - so think "prevention" as it is so much better than trying to deal with these nasty viruses. 1. Wash your hands as soon as you get home, arrive at the office and before you eat anything - simple soap and water are quite adequate (though, obviously, my hand made "gentle on your skin and tough on bugs" soap would be best) - all those antibacterial wipes are on your skin and you will eat the chemica...ls they are made of with along your sandwich or apples etc.... 2. Eat well - stews and soups are great, add warming ginger and bacterial fighting onions and garlic, slow cooked foods with lots of herbs and minerals... immune building citrus and kiwi fruit, native finger limes (high in vitamin C) 3. Take it easy - winter is time to hibernate and re-coup energy, relax, have a hot cacao and read a proper book - get away from the screens now and again. 4. hug your friends and family - release the feel-good hormones and smile a lot! 5. rent a funny movie and Laugh out loud - good for the lungs and diaphragm as well as the mind! 6. Go for a long walk - leave the screen behind, breathe deeply and dont think about anything but how good that makes you feel. Happy Winter x See more
13.01.2022 Just a Quick word on Breast Implants - they are not for life, in fact they have a shelf life which I hope, if you have any, your surgeon advised you of this - symptoms appear and are remarkably like Rheumatoid Arthritis, Flu, Mild alzheimers or Fibromyalgia - or a combination of all of these. Before your doctor prescribes you a drug like Methotrexate, (or any of the other myriad drugs whose side effects can also be muscle pain, nausea, fatigue, aches, and so on!)Quote from w...ebpage - not my own work so apologies -( lots to read on many forums and pages.) "Now, about 50 years after breast implants were first introduced globally, un-tracked numbers of women are complaining of a recognisable pattern of health problems, which they attribute to their implants. Those suffering from these symptoms generally refer to the condition as Breast Implant Illness or BII (although non-medical, this term is widely used). Various social media groups and organisations have been formed by these women, most notably Healing Breast Implant Illness and The Implant Truth Survivors. Symptoms of this condition which Dr Zuckerman explains, is a pattern of health problems likely caused by an autoimmune reaction to the implant include mental confusion, joint pain, hair loss, dry eyes, chronic fatigue, and persistent flu-like symptoms. In some cases, she says, silicone gel is leaking into their bodies and causing the autoimmune reaction. When the gel leaks into organs such as the lungs and liver, it cant be removed surgically." - http://www.center4research.org/breast-implants-poisoning/
13.01.2022 A friend just posted this and I had to share. Read it slowly. For Love of the World~~ For the love of a tree,... she went out on a limb. For the love of the sea, she rocked the boat. For the love of the earth, she dug deeper. For the love of community, she mended fences. For the love of the stars, she let her light shine. For the love of spirit, she nurtured her soul. For the love of a good time, she sowed seeds of happiness. For the love of the Goddess, she drew down the moon. For the love of nature, she made compost. For the love of a good meal, she gave thanks. For the love of family, she reconciled differences. For the love of creativity, she entertained new possibilities. For the love of her enemies, she suspended judgment. For the love of herself, she acknowledged her worth. And the world was richer for her.~ ~Charlotte Tall Mountain art: Loui Jover

12.01.2022 Very true......
11.01.2022 It's nice to have an opinion, but actions will always speak louder than words. Today I am potting up plants as they have grown out of the old pots I had put them in for sale before covid stopped things, seeds for food and flowers, and plant a native tree by the river day for me, what are you doing for the planet, your neighbourhood, your community, your tribe, your family, yourself? (not necessarily all in one day - pace yourself!)
10.01.2022 So this is why I eat butter and olive oil - 500 g butter, 250 mls olive oil, beat until smooth and then put into smaller containers and keep in fridge - it will still spread, but in cooler weather add another tablespoon.
10.01.2022 You can make your excuses or use your motivation - your choice always...

06.01.2022 Ok back to normal service - I know I am awful with my phone - and only slightly better with e-mail and facebook. I dont live with any of them nearby, however, I do check in a couple of times a day. This is because I did not grow up with electronic devices, I dont like the way they keep changing programmes and charging for every bit of time and information, I am a book girl. I like writing (or texting now) I get busy with other things so I forget about the phone and the com...puter. If some one (yep, I do mean me...!) is not immediately available it just means they are busy, or they are having some time to themselves, or crafting, or reading, visiting friends or clients, or maybe out in nature without the constant ding of the phone! Relax, text me. Some of my organic and handcrafted products are available at the cafe in Lavelle street - Kitchen twelve 09 where Paule serves up beautiful food and the best coffee. She is open, but as it is a wee place, dont all go at once - social distancing! See more
06.01.2022 I am not seeing new clients at this time but hope you all stay well and safe. I will post some new information as I can to help you through this difficult time. Patience and respect for others is important as you may well survive covid-19 but it is proving that all age groups are at risk- stay home and enjoy being with your family. Forge new bonds. Play board games or cards, learn to cook together, talk to each other... Perhaps this is a chance to forge a stronger community and a better understanding of what is important in your life- health not wealth, people not products, being still for a while, not rushing to do things, talking to your family and not to friends in cyberspace. Stressful, yes, but it will end faster if you stay home, and stay safe.
06.01.2022 Nana knows best - slow down and take time to enjoy your life. Turn off the phone!
03.01.2022 I finally got a delivery of Aloe Vera and have made some flip top containers of sanitiser. Contains the aloe, 70% alcohol and anti viral, antibacterial, antiseptic essential oils - tea tree, eucalyptus, lime, orange and thyme 100 gm. The cost $ 9. I added a few drops extra of either orange, lavender, eucalyptus to batches for a top note. Limited amount but I hope to get another order in next week from my supplier. Also making cloth face mask. They might not be hospital grade... but the do seem to have the effect of keeping people away from you and they stop you touching your mouth and nose before you wash your hands at home. Good idea to wash cans brought home. Rinse off your veggies and pour contents of packets into containers and bun the bags- wash your hands before touching the containers and afterwards before you put the lid on- etc. If you have an at risk family member stay safe and this too will pass. 03.01.2022 Hands down best cartoon I have seen in a long time!!!!!
02.01.2022 After a discussion with some friends, I thought this might be a good wee topic for a Friday. Hangry is a thing! If you are hungry, or your nutrition is poor you will get angry faster, eat more when you do sit down to eat, and eat less healthy choices. Your body will crave salty or sweet and a pizza and chocolate bar may fill your stomach, but your body will still want nutrients - your health may then begin to decline. We get plenty of calories, but many are malnourished in the western world, if you want to remain well, eat well. It may be obvious, but sometimes just eating meat and three veg is exactly what you need!
01.01.2022 Dont sit back and think it wont happen, they have a considerable influence on the government and have been known to ignore good scientific evidence, of "alternative" treatments, presented in their preferred form of double blind studies, the "scientific" proof of efficacy, as it is not in the interest of the medical industry. (Choice is important though I do agree that charlatans need to be weeded out. Ask if they belong to a professional body, and do some research before g...oing to any practitioner, references from friends are often useful, but not everyone gets on with everyone..This also goes for any doctor, dentist or physio, etc.some are better than others! They are just human like we are!.) Caveat emptor. If your health care autonomy, your right to choose, is important to you, stop the nanny state taking that right to choose out of your See more
