23.01.2022 #nessascreativitychallenge Day 16 Creating for the sake of creating... The more I create at the moment, the harder it is to stop! Each day I find something delicious occurring on the paper in front of me. Each day I just want to keep making more for the sheer pleasure of it. These ones today are divine, shimmering with gold pigment and filled with fascinating lines and folds and crevasses of deep, rich colours. I have created a monster of glorious and kaleidoscopic proportions! I can barely step anywhere in my studio at the moment as there are literally paintings EVERYWHERE. 23.01.2022 COLOUR READING EXAMPLE Ever wondered what a colour reading is? Here is an example. This is an A4 size artwork that combines green, teal and aqua, with hints of gold and copper. It is currently available for $99 plus postage with a mini reading. ... Green is related to nature, healing, and growth. Teal and aqua are both colours that combine green with blue, which is the colour of wisdom and peace. Yet blue can also tend towards introversion and depression, so the bluish tones in this picture have been balanced with the gold and copper. The white elements indicate a tendency towards perfectionism and a need for cleanliness. The person that this has been created for will be someone who is generally calm and peaceful, and most likely a sounding board for all their friends. They are valued for their sound advice and their healing and comforting presence. There is also a good chance that they are involved with medicine or healing on some level - either a nurse or other medical professional, counsellor or an alternative practitioner. 22.01.2022 I would love to tell you about these colours and their meaning tonight, but my brain is a little scrambled from 6 hours of driving. On the upside, I still managed to paint something! It’s a little hard to see on the photo, but we have lime and bottle green, currant-red and gold. There are also some lovely shimmery russet and bronze tones. So over to you guys - what do these colours mean for you?

22.01.2022 PLEASE READ - whether this artwork is for you or not, the message is. Make sure you read to the end. A3 size artwork - $166 unframed Add a reading for $55... As an artist, I have a tendency to select colour combinations I like, or experiment with new ones. Today was a little different. After creating a custom piece for a friend, I felt directed to choose these specific colours: Bright yellow, aqua, mermaid green, denim blue, indigo blue, blue violet, slate and storm greys and silver and brass metallics. These (minus the yellow, silver and grey) are what I would usually think of as peacock colours, but the end result is very different. In fact, the violet has an interesting oil slick effect on it. The paper has been infused with the YL essential oil blends of One Heart, Inspiration, Believe and Peace & Calming. My feeling looking at this artwork is that it is for a person who has recently weathered a storm, and is starting to see the light again. The oil slick represents our capacity to see beauty in heartache and challenges - as all things we face can be seen as an opportunity to grow. Even in grief, we can be grateful for the beautiful memories and experiences shared. Even when our lives have come crashing down around us - jobs, health, relationships, people or homes have been lost, or we have lost ourselves somewhere along the way - we have the possibility of a new start, a new pathway, a new dream. We have the opportunity to focus on us, to heal the old wounds and find freedom from our old beliefs. I have learned throughout my life that often we need to be reminded that we are on the wrong path. If we have been refusing to listen to those feelings and thoughts that have been telling us to leave a relationship, change career or move to a new location, then we can get a bit of a rude awakening when the decision is made for us. Whoever this is for, use this painting as a reminder of who you are, what storms you have weathered and the gifts that are waiting for those who choose to accept them. Nessa xxx

21.01.2022 It’s often on the days when I am physically and mentally exhausted that I create the most beautiful artworks. Maybe it’s because my logical brain is already checked out and I don’t have the energy to resist what comes through. At any rate, today I felt like someone had pulled my batteries out. This beauty is infused with En-R-Gee essential oil blend. With it’s energetic orange tones, passionate magenta, playful aqua and rivers of shimmering brass inks there is a delightfull...y deep feeling to this seemingly lighthearted piece. 17.01.2022 More muted tones tonight with hints of colour - grey and eggplant, teal and magenta with a dusting of gold. This piece feels like a far off pocket of a distant galaxy, glowing with cosmic energy.

17.01.2022 This morning I thought today would be another write off. I was slumped on the sofa in front of the fireplace, every part of me exhausted,. I felt like I’d left part of me in whatever dimension I was visiting in my sleep. And then this happened.

17.01.2022 #nessascreativitychallenge Day 15 Pastels and pretty things... I couldn’t stop playing with these colours this morning. It’s rare that I use pastel shades - partly because there aren’t that many available, and partly because I just don’t tend to go for pastels. Bold and bright are my thing. Usually. But I have to say, these are absolutely gorgeous. All of them have a golden shimmer to them which only partly shows up in the photos. Seeing them in person is a completely different experience! These colours take me back to my fairy party days - they are enchanting, magical and put me in mind of fairies, unicorns and mermaids. 16.01.2022 Wooooow the energy of this piece is INTENSE. It’s literally tickling me between the shoulder blades and making my hair stand on end. I feel like the person this was made for (is it you?) has SO much untapped potential within them. Like a big ball of power starting to push at it’s boundaries, getting ready to explode. This person is someone who may have a lot of unresolved anger (mainly towards themselves, although it may manifest as anger directed at others) and finds it dif...ficult to express their emotions so balls it all up and suppresses it instead. If they can find a way to express those suppressed emotions through their work or passions as opposed to letting themselves by triggered easily and unleashing on others, the results would be phenomenal. They are likely to be someone who is always moving, like they are hyped up on too much caffeine, and they can be a little blunt. 14.01.2022 Control over the end result is not something you have when working with these mediums. The paint moves, slides, pools and drips, deepens and darkens as it dries. Rivers of gold or metallics are exposed, like veins of minerals in a mine, and effects that you intended are swallowed by effects you didn’t. Often, this is where the magic happens though, in the unexpected and surprising interactions of medium, pigments, surface and time.... Before, and after. Naivety and wisdom. Controlling, and surrendering. Art.
