25.01.2022 So I've just had my first no show no cancel appointment. As I've mentioned several times I'm one of very few nail techs that don't require a deposit at booking and will accept last minute requests. If this happens again I'm afraid I'm going to have to introduce this next step. Not only have I lost 2 hours of income I've also set aside this time to work missing out on other clients or opportunities. 22.01.2022 Exciting Saturday night here Kids are watching The Goonies (who remembers that 80's flashback!) and I'm redoing my nails after nearly 3.5 weeks. I spent 3 hours in the salon with the whole family helping today. Cleaned every single item in here including individual bottles. Ready to go on Monday!

21.01.2022 Getting so excited to get back to work next Monday! I've been cleaning the salon again and reorganising my space. A few questions people have asked me are: Can I still bring children? Unfortunately the new rules about social distancing don't allow anyone else at your appointment. Every person literally counts so it's me and you in our space and that's all. Sorry for the inconvenience. What happens if I arrive early? ... Send me a message on Facebook or via text and I'll let you know if it's ok to come in or I'll open the door when ready. Where to park? During the day park on the driveway. After school, evenings and weekends please park on the verge at the top of the cul-de-sac or along our grass Do you accept cash? Absolutely! Cash is still welcome and contactless EFTPOS is available with a 2% surcharge. Do you supple PPE? No. You're welcome to bring your own mask or gloves but the cost becomes too much if I supply them. Are you doing pedicures? Yes! I still do waterless pedicures and always follow Department of Health rules about procedures which means this is still a safe procedure. Any questions please pm me or ask on the page. I want this to be as easy as possible. The number one rule is if you're sick please don't attend. Even for a cold. As most of my clients know I have 2 high risk special needs girls one with ongoing respiratory issues and they need to have a healthy home. I appreciate every effort we make together to stay safe.

19.01.2022 This new colour from Light Elegance has been very popular with 3 sets in the last 2 days and none the same! Here it is on its own a beautiful glitter mix. We also used it today over a pink and it looked fantastic as a feature nail.

19.01.2022 These nails are unrecognisable from where we first began. We removed the builder in a bottle and went back to Shellac on natural nails all ready for baby's arrival! CND Fuji Love is a gorgeous warm nude. Can't wait to meet bubs

16.01.2022 These nails have come a long way! We took off all the length and rebalanced with Builder in a Bottle. These usually last around 3-4 weeks and we don't have any breakages. Today we had a layer of glitter over Copper Out gel polish for a sparkly finish.

It's also the beginning of school holidays so I'm going to make sure I'm scheduling family time as well. While a short sharp lockdown to keep WA virus free was the right option for the state, it does...n’t mean many local hospitality venues, retail stores and other local businesses weren’t affected when they had to shut or restrict their trading. While the State Government is providing assistance to businesses right across the state, there’s something we can all do too to help as well. This weekend, I’m asking West Aussies to support their local small businesses. Get takeaway, dine out, shop locally. Just make sure you follow the rules, and sign in when you head out using the SafeWA app. If you happen to have any extra spending money after the week we’ve had, make sure you spend it with your favourite small business. Our local businesses are a key part of the fabric of our communities. Give them your support this weekend.

13.01.2022 Back to work! I've been off since 25th March and it's a weird feeling getting back to work. I feel like I've forgotten so many things that used to be automatic and I'm second guessing myself Can't wait to see all my regulars again and meet new clients as well.

12.01.2022 My nails at the moment. I did my left hand first and then about a week later managed my right CND Nude Knickers Shellac with Silver Chrome gel.

12.01.2022 At home nail care! During our appointments I always discuss the best routine to maintain your nails and hands. There are very few products that I absolutely stand by and have seen work over the years and these are some of them. I love CND SolarOil which has been clinically tested and proven. I've seen more expensive products at the chemist and going by their ingredients they're basically perfumed water with a drop of oil. SolarOil mini bottles are $8 and last up to 2 months. ...CND Rescuerxx is clinically tested and proven to repair damaged nails and is a home product to repair natural nails. It works when you have no products on your nails and many people fell in love with this over their Covid break. $10 for a mini bottle. CND Scentsations hand cream has been my favourite since my nail tech used it on me over 10 years ago. They smell beautifully, non greasy and soak in easily. Don't forget hand cream is for your skin and cuticle oil is for nails and cuticle. There isn't a one fits all. Please remember to grab some at your next appointment or message me to organise pickup. Keep on top of your hands during these time of extra washing and sanitising.

02.01.2022 This set completely gave me Christmas vibes which can't be a bad thing when we all need a bit of happiness. These nails have come in leaps and bounds since the first visit. Inflamed cuticles, reactions to products and bad lifting. Now we have healthy nails growing strong and products that don't cause irritation.

It's important to be open and honest when talking about how we're going and how we're coping. This year for me personally has been incredibly tough dealing with serious illness and a pandemic and talking with others is what keeps me going. So how are you?
