25.01.2022 Our head of Nest Boxes Australia doing the hard work! Andrew is currently in the process of building two Microbat Wedge Nesting Boxes. You can find them on our website.

23.01.2022 These awesome little guys fly super fast and look great doing it. Gould's Wattled Bats greatly appreciate nest boxes. If you've got a few zipping around your property, think about getting them a safe home from our website!

23.01.2022 It's best to get your nest boxes up before it reaches the nesting season! Birds by this time usually generally have found somewhere to reside in. Installing your nest boxes even as early as in June would help ensure your bird pals consider it as a potential home when they go scouting.

23.01.2022 Can you hear the bells jingling? With Christmas round the corner, it's NEARLY time for us to take off our working hats and put on our Santa ones! We will be closing at 12pm this Thursday, reopening January 8th! Place your orders with us before Thursday so we can process and dispatch before we close.

22.01.2022 Great information for those with cute little Brush-ies on their property!

22.01.2022 When it comes to finding relaxing places to sleep, this guy sure is koala-fied for the job!!!! Thanks to one of our customers for sharing this photo. Do you have any photos of our nest boxes you'd like to share? Please message us, we'd love to see them!

22.01.2022 The Brush-tailed Phascogale is a cute little nocturnal, tree climbing, carnivorous marsupial. You can identify them by their large naked ears and black bushy tail! Unfortunately, these little guys are a threatened species at a State and National Level. This issue is especially prevalent around Brisbane, where a major fire burnt over 40% of the Brisbane Ranges National Park, which was a sizeable habitat for phascogales.... Finding safe homes for phascogales is not only for their comfort; its essential for their survival. You can help provide them a safe habitat by purchasing a phascogale nest box from our website!

20.01.2022 Fun fact! With a lot of species of birds, we have to heavily consider the size of the entrance holes! Many don't like nesting in hollows or boxes with too big a hole. Instead, they would prefer the hole to be large enough only for an adult to enter.

19.01.2022 A little about us! We make nest boxes that are designed for use by native Australian birds and mammals. These boxes are designed to withstand the harsh climatic conditions that are prevalent in Australia. All of our boxes are made from the highest quality exterior grade plywoods with marine grade glue, with the exception of the Nycel Celluka Range. They are produced on a high precision CNC nesting machine. All components are accurately cut, have routed internal ladders and a...re precision pre-drilled We are located in Brisbane!

19.01.2022 Thank you to Al for sharing this photo with us! As you can tell, our nest boxes are loved by more than just the specific animals they were made for :)

19.01.2022 Nest Boxes Australia will be officially closing for Christmas at 12pm today! Any orders we receive will be processed and dispatched as soon as we come back, on the 8th of January. We'd like to thank you for your business and care towards our native wildlife. 17.01.2022 Have a cute little sugar glider at home that you want to get to know? Whilst they're omnivores, they sure do have a sweet tooth! They adore nectar, honey, honeydew, sap, and acacia gum. Place some of these on top of your nest box to make it even more tempting!

17.01.2022 The Pardalote or Diamondbird actually represent four cute species of Australian songbirds! They have a simple tongue and a thick, unserrated bill. You would definitely want to make these guys feel at home in your yard. Have a look on our website at our Pardalote boxes

16.01.2022 Imagine if the only thing you could say was "booBOOK" over and over again. If the thought drives you crazy, you should start feeling sorry for Boobook owls, who are literally named after their own call! If you're feeling particularly generous for the little Boobook living in your yard, buy them a home from our website. We're sure it'll make their day!

16.01.2022 Check out our new ride! What do you think??? Give us a wave if you see us cruising around

16.01.2022 Tiny parasitic larvae have driven the 40-spotted Pardalote to the brink. In 2015, the population had declined by 60% since 1995. Theyve become so rare, its estimated that theres only approximately 1000 left in the wild. Its so vital to look after whatever numbers we have left of these amazing creatures. ... If you are lucky to see one nesting near your home (or in one of our nest boxes), please think about using the cotton wool method: "The cotton wool method involves spraying little balls of cotton with a plant-based insecticide that kills larvae of a parasitic fly, but does not harm birds." You can leave a specially designed station with the cotton wool intertwined with wire in the bush. The pardalote will tear off small pieces of wool to weave into its nest.

15.01.2022 Today's the last day to place your orders, to get your orders sent before Christmas! Check out our boxes through the "Shop Now" button!

15.01.2022 The Owlet-Nightjar is an extremely common bird in Australia, and is the smallest nocturnal bird. Unlike most other birds, its eyes are actually NON-reflective when you shine a light on them. These cute little guys love areas with plenty of trees and suitable hollows. They also love nest boxes! If you have these little guys flying around, check out our website for an owlet-nightjar nest box.

15.01.2022 We can't believe how high these Nest Boxes have been installed! 45 metres up has got to be a new record! Many thanks to one of our customers, John, for sharing these photos with us. We hope more are on the way!

14.01.2022 Do you have these handsome guys flying around your backyard? Australian King parrots are often in pairs and hate being separate from each other. Their contact is maintained by a shrill whistle repeated by both birds. Now that's love! If you are looking for a home for these guys, check out our website :)

14.01.2022 "She looks like a Pokemon" How amazing is this! If you've got any of these cuties hanging around, chuck us a few photos!

13.01.2022 Did you know we sell Bee hotels too? Check out Andrew installing the latest version at our very own warehouse! We haven't created a link for them on our website yet, so if you are in love with this little bee hotel, give us a call on 07 3875 1826 to order your own!

12.01.2022 "Great news, less than 2 weeks and we have enticed our possum into our new new nesting box. Hopefully he or she wont venture back under our house!" Another great photo from one of our customers! Thank you for sharing!

11.01.2022 Very accurate words! Please refer to the below if you tend to have micro bats nest in your area, especially in the winter. If you are unsure whether your area has enough suitable and safe habitats for these guys, we do provide nest boxes for micro bats on our site! The Wedge-Shaped Micro Bat Box are built specifically to provide a secure home.

11.01.2022 Nest Box Animals: Fun Fact! Grey Shrike-thrushes are found in all but the most dry regions of Australia and Tasmania. Grey Shrike-thrush couples can remain together for life live together throughout this time.

09.01.2022 We love seeing all your local wildlife enjoying their new homes! She certainly looks snug

07.01.2022 Exciting changes at Nest Boxes Australia, as we move over to our new style of heavy duty flat pack nest boxes. The new design integrates the mounting kit as part of the box and is supplied with the coach screws. Easy to assemble, easy to mount. The new boxes still have the holes provided for those that prefer to wire the boxes to the tree.... Pictured is a Small Parrot nest box installed last Friday, with its new resident Moreton Bay Rosella on Sunday. We are gradually shifting all of the boxes over to this design.

07.01.2022 Kingfishers are all over the country, but mainly stick around the coastal regions. They love to nest in termite nests, burrows on riverbanks, and tree hollows. These guys, even with their beautiful plumage, are a pretty tough bird. A large part of their diet is frogs, snakes, and insects, which they despatch by smacking them against tree branches! They also swallow them whole... Check out the nest box for these guys on our website! ... https://www.nestingboxes.com.au/epages/shsh6893.sf/en_AU/

07.01.2022 A fantastic array of nest boxes about to be dispatched. I'd say that these boxes are heading off to their new home, but really, they're the homes heading off to some gorgeous Australian wildlife!

06.01.2022 The White-Throated Treecreeper resides predominately in Southern Australia. Like other treecreepers, the majority of their day consists of foraging for ants and nectar. These little guys live in permanent territories (and really like nest boxes), so if you find one in your yard, most of the time they are guaranteed to stay!

05.01.2022 Galahs are highly sociable, and are often seen in flocks of around 1000 individual birds! They're natural performers, often hanging upside down on one foot! They love to shelter themselves in the hot weather, so with Summer coming up you can bet they would appreciate a good nest box!... Check out our website for our Galah box!

02.01.2022 If you want to make your possums and their nest boxes extra friendly, make sure they are surrounded by plentiful flowers, fruit scraps and nectar :)

01.01.2022 Red-rumped Parrots like to forage for seeds in short grass alongside other seed eating birds, like Eastern Rosellas and Galahs. They also shout it out to the tree-tops (literally) when they are annoyed whilst feeding. When disturbed, they call noisily and fly off, and only after throwing their little tantrum, do they return to the ground to continue foraging. They are characters of their own! Check out our website for their nesting box!

01.01.2022 We are back! Hope you all had a lovely holiday :) James is one of the hard working members of our team getting your nest box orders ready! You can see him smoothing out the faces of a standard Brushtail possum box. ... See us for your nest box needs!

01.01.2022 Thank you to one of our customers for sharing this glorious pic of lorikeets, inhabiting an old version of our Small Parrot boxes! Our new ones now come with an assortment of features, including an entry cover-piece to deter Indian Mynas.
