It is early days yet, I'm trying not to panic . We are a valuable part of the finance industry and also add value to all our customers for whom we have saved thousands of dollars, by providing great advice and choice. 12.01.2022 Is it harder for people to get into the housing market today, or is it relative? My first block of land in Kellyville was purchased for $136,000 in 1996, and it cost an extra $180,000 to put a house on it. All up around $320,000! It sounds so insignificant in comparison to today's prices.....but we were on a combined income of $60,000 so it was a tough slog and a big commitment.... That same house,had we had kept it, is probably worth around $1,500,000 today. It is really hard to save and buy your first home, but the Sydney property market doubles every 10 years, so the reward is very much worth the pain. You cannot save as quickly as the market goes up. However, it does feel like things are starting to soften, so now is a good time to think about your finances and what you want your future to look like. In our 20's and 30's we are busy raising families and growing our careers. In our 40's forward , if we are not asset building, we should be. Buy an investment property today, and, if we are to copy all the historic property trends, its value has to double in 10 years. Who wants to retire as early as possible ? I do!!! 12.01.2022 It's 11pm, I can't sleep, so I'm flicking around the internet..... I log into my bank account to discover someone has conducted fraud on my account. 4 transactions. My card is in my wallet, where it always is. I definitely was not in North Sydney today, so someone has had a lovely shopping day.... PLEASE BE VIGILANT WITH YOUR BANKING! As a habit, I log in quite regularly to check my accounts. It's a good habit to get into. As safe as you are, your accounts will always be vulnerable as long as there are unscrupulous people. CHECK EVERY DAY
