25.01.2022 Nest - Nurture in Nature - Women's Wellness Massage . Massage Specialist - Jennifer Grace.T. I had to post this image because it was so cute :) a little bit of creeper that wrapped around the thumb whilst I was doing a photo shoot - creative session.... A surprise visit and a spontaneous creative session this morning arranging and styling a nature creation around a very patient and lovely lady. 24.01.2022 NEST. Ever since I can remember I have always expressed myself my heart - my soul through many different forms of creativity. In some way I find it much easier then speaking. I speak and I process things through my hands ... Words limit me and I find that creativity is much more of a natural way to process and express oneself. The emotions of the soul can then be expressed through colours, shapes, patterns, form etc etc Creativity can also be a way towards healing. Maya Bird

22.01.2022 Ok so this is what it's like to be in the flow and go into a random creative zone. Late this afternoon I went into the studio because I had to knead left over clay . I started to knead the clay and then the next thing I know this random creation started to unfold from my soul through my hands Very spontaneous and even though I had other plans and other things I wanted to do I decided to just allow my soul to go with the flow hence the shenanigans - the pipes propping every...thing up I was not prepared I just kept creating and so I had to grab what was next to me - pipes they will do for now Shall see how it unfolds... and so a random sculpture in process. Boris is a very lovely snail I wanted to shine the light on Boris because I think that Boris is an extremely talented Mark Making Artist but he just lacks the confidence and is a little bit shy. . . . . 13.01.2022 So glad I had the camera next to me. This little tiny spirit bird flew down while I was hosing the garden in the late afternoon . It was so cute it kept flying through the hose water and landing in different locations in the garden . Absolutely loving it on such a hot day . It made made me laugh because it was so cheerful and so beautiful.... So grateful for moments like this these beautiful little creatures have lifted my spirits throughout this journey. 08.01.2022 . - BEE HEAVEN - . Whilst I am on the subject of honey and bees today Love Bees ... Thought I would post a flashback film This was the day I went to smell a rose and saw something wriggling underneath the petals I gently opened the petals to find little Mr Bee absolutely loving it in Bee Heaven It was so cute that after seeing this straight after I created a sculpture of Mr Bee in a flower. This was the First stages - rough stages of sculpting Mr Bee and first layer of petals this ended up being a pretty large sculpture in the end I was in the flow and it kept getting bigger and bigger. 08.01.2022 NEST. In the stillness she reflects. Sculpture by Maya.... Finishing this sculpture today Sculpting, shaping carving this weekend Drawn to sculpting as the rain has been pouring down. I love to create with natural light for me it's the best light. Switching off the man- made lights and working with natural light. THE TRUTH IS MAYA BIRD WENT THROUGH A LOT ALONG THE WAY AND IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT AND AT TIMES VERY LONELY FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT KNOW WHAT I WAS GOING THROUGH I APOLAGISE FOR THE CONFUSION AND FOR THOSE WHO DID KNOW WHAT I WAS GOING THROUGH I THANKYOU FOR YOUR CARE AND SUPPORT DURING THIS JOURNEY I HAVE BEEN LIED ABOUT, GOSSIPED ABOUT, DISCREDITED, MADE FUN OF, EXCLUDED FROM CERTAIN EVENTS, I HAVE HAD PEOPLE WHO HAVE SAID THINGS TO TRY AND TURN PEOPLE AGAINST ME, I HAVE BEEN PLAGIARISED AND MUCH MUCH MORE... 05.01.2022 Nest End of today a little chance for creativity and processing what I am feeling. Big day today and so at the end of today I sat down for a break to allow my soul to process current emotions since finding little tiny baby bandicoot and trying to rescue it and so sat sat down with a lump of clay and allowed my soul to express itself and strangely enough a little bandicoot sculpture started to form.... So this is the start first stage a bit rough as Its unplanned and so Little Bandicoot sculpture In process I shall just go with flow and see how it unfolds over time. Maya Bird of NEST.

04.01.2022 NEST. NESTs by Maya Bird. It's been a year since I created ... my large Nest for my NEST rooftop:) Can't believe how time has passed and how it actually withstood the seasons and the storms I remember that day at the end of the day a Sunday days before I had spotted branches on the side of the road and so that day I decided to go and get them. I tied a massive bundle together dragging the branches with me as I walked down the road back to the studio. People drove past looking at me like I was a weirdo but I didn't care because I knew the branches would be strong and would be perfect for a Nest for NEST. Funny memory it was a beautiful day . Maya

03.01.2022 NEST. Experimenting always experimenting In creation mode choosing clay today.... I'm always trying to experiment when creating always trying to think outside the square. (My Art teachers will remember this :) I started doing this technique when I was around 17 -18 yrs old and so now exploring this technique a little further. I always encourage people to try to look for ideas within because it's all within you. You just have to take time to tap into it. Try to find your inspiration but find it within your own soul. Maya

03.01.2022 It turned out to be a Rainy day Creating- Sculpture in process - Busy Mr BEE. :) I don't know what's going on lately but my soul is trying speak to me through clay.... It's like I'm having a conversation with Spirit. Lately the things that touch my heart and store in my memory are coming out through my hands Like little expressions from my soul I'm using clay as a medium just for now because the creations are spontaneous and in the moment and clay is currently the only thing close by It's been an endless clay flow lately I just allow my hands to create what my heart is feeling.. Today it looks like busy Mr Bee is slowly forming This is the very first stage- rough stage of sculpture creation but a lot more to go. Maya Bird

03.01.2022 NEST. Flashback. Landscape - oil painting by Maya Bird.... This is the base and the beginning of a landscape I started painting. I never finished because In the end I decided to just leave it as it was. Bit rustic and minimal but it captured the memory which was why I painted it. A happy memory in the country. .

02.01.2022 I sat down for a break and my little friend flew down to sit with me on the chair We sit in silence peacefully together in the sunshine He makes me smile because I watch as he tries to keep his balance because he is now having a little nap It's so cute watching him start to blink slowly as he falls asleep....
