The Victorian Dept of Planning is piloting a program to fast track approvals (10 days!!) for secondary dwellings to be added onto existing blocks in the Greater Bendigo, Murrindindi, Kingston and Moreland council areas, with the view to rolling out across the rest of Victoria. If Nestd houses only take 10 days to build.. you can do the maths!!! This is a HUGE step forward for the modular building industry and for residential customers who, in the past, had to go through town planning waiting up to 6 months for approvals for desperately needed compact homes. https://www.planning.vic.gov.au///secondary-dwellings-code
