25.01.2022 Good morning girls

24.01.2022 A little bit about the face behind Nest Pet Care - Kim Sheridan From a very early age I have had a strong affinity with animals. I was lucky enough to be raised by parents who supported and encouraged my love for all animals, despite the fact I probably drove them a little crazy at times with the constant flow of animals sharing our home... dogs, cats, lambs, chickens, rabbits, birds, fish, horses and many, many strays were part of our family.... I knew that my destiny was always to work with animals, even moving high schools in year 10 to allow myself to study Ag Science. After graduating from High School and turning 18 I landed my dream job as a trainee Vet Nurse at Woodend Vet Clinic. From here I knew I’d found my career and I worked in various clinics in senior roles around Melbourne, including Melbourne University within the specialist department. I continued my full time Vet Nursing role for 16 years until I was encouraged to apply for a Territory Management position within the natural pet food industry, where I remain today. It wasn’t a surprise to me that I realised pretty quickly I missed nursing and about 18 months ago I was offered the fantastic opportunity to return to nursing on a casual basis on Saturdays. Not only has my career been animal focused, my personal life has been also, animals are my passion both personally and professionally. I live and breath them and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a strong background in animal welfare also, having fostered many, many animals over the years. My door is always open to those in need and there is often a litter of pups, a little senior or a greyhound in my home. My background allows me to look after the animals you share your life with from a wholistic point of view. My animals are my family, they are my world and I know first hand the anxiety I have felt when having to leave them when I have gone away. Above all the well being and safety, both physically and mentally, of your pets is paramount to me.... whilst of course ensuring that they also have fun!

23.01.2022 Buddy was happy to see me again! This boy is a regular and he is always up for an adventure. We always start the day with a walk or park run... followed by endless kisses!

22.01.2022 A new little baby has joined the Nest family. Introducing Sailor Sailor is a 10 week old Neapolitan Mastiff cross Great Dane, he is (so far) quiet and a fairly serious little guy who likes to watch the world from afar and take it all in, he is a beautiful boy and I am really excited to have him as a much loved part of our family. ... Blanche is super happy about her new baby brother, Slug and Bella prefer to ignore him.. no surprises there! Sailor is off to puppy school and he looks forward to meeting all the locals on his adventures around Sunbury.

17.01.2022 Lucky enough to hang out with the wonderful Clancy and his family over the weekend. He has stolen my heart, what a kind, engaging, intelligent and loving little guy he is. Go make friends with a piggy, your soul will thank you.

13.01.2022 A very serious gal

12.01.2022 My youngest boy had his first day at the beach today! It was a rainy and wild day but it was fun all the same! Little Sailor .... growing like a weed.

12.01.2022 Daily walks and love for Diesel while his parents enjoy some down time

08.01.2022 Another fully booked weekend, filled with lovely calves, horses, cats and dogs. Each visit is special but some moments make my heart smile that little bit extra. I was told this little girl loved affection and tummy rubs, while fairly confident she still was a little unsure who the new human was visiting each day. ... So today I met her where she was and got down nice and low, waited till I could see she was relaxing and she felt safe and then we spent some time getting to know each other.... I love when the penny drops and they realise I am someone they can trust. It’s an honour to be welcomed into their space.

07.01.2022 Thursday morning Yoga with Jinx, the sweetest girl. How cute are those cheeks?

07.01.2022 Post play time glow! The smiles though....

06.01.2022 The most basic and powerful way to connect to another is to listen. Just listen. Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention. A loving silence often has far more power to heal and to connect than the most well-intentioned words. -Rachel Naomi Remen Thank you for another moment in the sun, sweet and gentle Clancy, time with you is something I am always grateful for

04.01.2022 Messages are starting to come through from some of my clients who were in NSW, they are on their way home from NSW, tonight/tomorrow ahead of border closures. I am SO sorry, it’s absolutely terrible, finally able to get away and see family, only to have to turn around and come back. Thinking of you all... I really am, please drive safe.

01.01.2022 Just some of the beautiful beings I’ve been hanging out with this morning! Meet the very lovely Poppy, and Gizmo, Milo and Teddy, Ruby Rose, Maximus, Stella and Banjo and Tilly and Ziggy, amongst these guys there were more lovely cats, rabbits, dogs, birds and yabbies who were a little camera shy! Everyone is just gorgeous, friendly and happy to see me. Honestly feeling very lucky to be greeted by these faces every morning.

01.01.2022 I regularly send daily video updates to my clients, to help ease worried hearts. This little video is a fave though as I didn’t expect the greeting I received! A lovely family had to book care for their girl Milly at the last minute, so I only met her the day I started caring for her and without her family to introduce us. So I videoed as I walked in so they could see her response to meeting me.... This is literally as I opened the door...
