24.01.2022 An interesting article describing something totally preventable when responsible people approach tasks with security in mind https://www.wired.com//most-medical-imaging-devices-run-o/

23.01.2022 With COVID-19 just outside on the street everyone is advised to minimise contacts and stay at home away from crowds. Many international companies sent stuff and contractors home providing they can work remotely increasing bandwidth at its Internet break-outs. Small businesses are not always that flexible, sometimes remote work is not an option at all, sometimes such feature is not considered business critical and not even implemented. For many who has remote access it might n...ot be sustainable for all stuff due to license or simultaneous connections limits. Instantly many left unprepared and cant provide reliable solution without substantial time and money investments for firewalls/installations/configurations and stuff training. However in some circumstances simple solution is on the surface, one of such solutions that just work is ZeroTier software(https://www.zerotier.com/). What is ZeroTier in short, this is open source software solution allowing anyone to organise connectivity between anything over Internet. It can be set up to provide access from mobile, laptop or tablet to file shares, servers, printers or any other company resource. All you need is to register your account at https://my.zerotier.com(free account allows access for up to 100 devices), install agent on the devices for remote access and ZeroTier daemon on the server on premises, add network routes for internal networks(if there are more than one) via Web GUI. Thats it! Now access to companys internal resources from any spot in the world can be granted or denied by a single click of a mouse in Web GUI. NetSec Tech will be providing free advice on how to set it up and use during this pandemic time, please contact us if you need help.
