24.01.2022 In 2019, through the generosity of the community Anglicare collected approximately 100 tonnes of food. Over 5,500 Christmas food hampers and 4,000 toy hampers were distributed to families who were in need. This year they aim to distribute 6,000 Christmas food hampers and 4,500 toy hampers to families in need this Christmas. 12.01.2022 It's been 3 years since London’s Grenfell fire which tragically claimed the lives of 72 people, consequently uncovering the dangers of flammable cladding on buildings in NSW. Apartment owners In New South Wales have financial support from the state, with the State Government unveiling a $1 billion government program aimed at helping assist the cladding crisis. Apartment owners forced to replace flammable cladding on high-rise buildings across NSW will be able to access interest-free loans as part of the program over the next three years; which also includes $139 million to establish and offer technical support to owners for the remediation of at-risk buildings.
