17.01.2022 I will be conducting a 1 day creative workshop at Studio 16 on Scotland Island on April 9 and would love those of you who can and are interested to join us. It will be in Jenny Winterton's studio and Jen will be providing a beautiful lunch as part of the day. Numbers are limited to space but if we have more than the space allows we will do another day. Please check out all the info. CREATIVE IMAGE MAKING One Day Art Workshop with Nettie Lodge... Exercising creativity unleashes our spirit and enables us to explore the wonderful world of the unknown. It allows us to recognise and embrace our imagination. It helps clarify our ideas, improve our art practice and suspend judgement. It has the innate ability to transport us to an extremely happy place. This workshop is designed to introduce the participants to a variety of art mediums to explore creatively and experimentally, including watercolour, acrylic paint, mono printing and collage. Each participant will have the opportunity to explore, discover and experiment with all the demonstrated mediums. In the first half of the workshop, Nettie will guide the participants through a series of fun, creative, visual exercises, designed to unlock your hidden, artistic talent and explore the mediums. In the second half of the workshop Nettie will work with each participant on a one to one basis to create a piece of visual art based on the creative exercises and the demonstrated mediums. This workshop is beneficial for everyone, from beginners to advanced, and also those with no previous art experience. 16.01.2022 Moving my paintings to the gallery...it HAD to be in a howling Southerly and it HAD to be raining even though it hasn't rained for 2 months and it HAD to be the only day left to get them off the island and down to the city....But, we made it! Thank you SO much to Pete and Ellie and Graeme who drove the truck...I couldn't have done it without you and why would we live anywhere else!!?? I hope everyone can come to the opening (if only to see whether the paintings made it or not!) next Sat 17Aug 5pm

13.01.2022 One week and a bit before my show opens on the 10th August but there will be much sloshing and slurping of wine at the gallery for the official opening on August 17, 5pm -8pm...would love to see everyone there, I hope you can make it.... just got to get the paintings out of the studio, loaded into the island taxi, transported down the ever deepening crevasses of Thompson Street to Cargo Wharf, balance them all in Pete's boat, pray there is no howling Westerly, disembark them at Church Point, load them into the back of Ellie's truck, get them to the city, unpack them at the gallery and hope hope hope they are all still in one piece....!! A little bit of stress never hurt anyone...right?

05.01.2022 I will be exhibiting at ARTSPACE ROUGE at Sturdee Lane, Lovett Bay, in Pittwater, next Saturday, 21st September, 10 - 5pm, as part of the 2013 Manly Arts Festival. I will have lots of small works for sale, together with other great Pittwater artists exhibiting ceramics, jewellery, photography and much more. There will also be fabulous food. A great day out ....regular ferries go to Lovett Bay from Church Point. Hope you can all make it and we can share this magical part of Pittwater, for those who have never been here.
