16.01.2022 SHAME FILE. These Chiropractors have decided to take advantage of the fact that Massage Therapists and other Allied health practices are closed due to the Coron...avirus crisis. They are blatantly trying to poach clients, who would normally seek Remedial or Myotherapy soft tissue treatment, to go to them instead. And they are offering a rediculously low price, which is actually only a perceived discount, to lure you in. Talk about kick a man/woman while he/she is down. Be aware that the fee or deal they are offering does not actually include any actual "treatment". It is for "reading" your x-ray and a long appointment of interrogative history note taking. When/ if they do any treatment, that will probably cost extra AND when you go to get your x-ray, this will most likely be charged to Medicare. Most muscular aches and pains can be treated with hands on massage, and DO NOT require x-rays. It is a waste of resources and you will be paying basically for no gain. Furthermore its doubtful that their actual treatment will be any longer than 5 to 15 minutes. I closed my business a month ago to protect my clients, my family and myself from contracting this virus. Ive discussed with a local physiotherapist who is happy for me to refer to her during this interim. Once I return to opening my clinic, this said physiotherapist will recommend and advise those clients to return to me. Thats how to do mutual business. The way these two charlatans are advertising is WRONG and I would hope other Chiropractors would condemn their approach. I leave this with you to make your opinion and hope to see you in my practice soon, one day. Apologies to the good Chiropractors that I am aligned with. The latest announcement has not given us any definitive news on lifting restrictions but the current rule of requiring a care plan still applies. 12.01.2022 Nicholas Desira, whos been coming in for regular massage treatments to help prepare for a marathon swim across the English Channel. The epic journey has been many months in the planning and he braved squally choppy conditions to cross from Dover to France in 13hours and 55minutes. The straight line distance is around 22 miles but as you can see the currents and tides make the swim course a huge s-shape. So the lineal distance could be up to twice that. Add that to the fact that the water is around 16 degrees Celsius. We salute you on your huge brave monumental effort and determination. Wed like to think the massages played a small part in getting you through the grueling training.

11.01.2022 When Kathrine Switzer first ran the Boston Marathon in 1967, a race official tried to physically remove her from the route after he discovered that she was fema...le. Today, 50 years later, the now 70-year-old Switzer has successfully completed the marathon once again -- this time running it in 4 hours, 44 minutes at the head of a team of over 100 women! Switzer was a 20-year-old college student at Syracuse University in 1967 when she registered for the race using her initials, K.V. Switzer. Not realizing that she was a woman, who were barred from participating in the Boston Marathon for over 70 years, race officials issued her an entry number. During the race, marathon official Jock Semple ran up to her yelling "Get the hell out of my race and give me those numbers!" When he grabbed Switzer and attempted to rip off her race number, other runners, including Switzers coach Arnie Briggs and her boyfriend Tom Miller, blocked Semple and she was able to complete the marathon. Dramatic photographs of the incident and the story of Switzers participation in the marathon made global headlines. Switzers record-setting run as the Boston Marathons first registered female runner came one year after the historic run of Bobbi Gibb, who disguised herself and snuck in to run the marathon in 1966. After the marathon, Switzer became deeply engaged in efforts to increase girls and womens access to sports and she and other women runners finally convinced the Boston Athletic Association to drop their discriminatory policies and allow women to participate in 1972.
