16.01.2022 RANT.... Enoughs enough The NSW combat sports really needs to give itself a royal uppercut. After sitting back trying to be patient re promoting shows again, ge...tting emails from them saying they are having a meeting about having another meeting and so on, I decided to ring them them and ask some questions.... The first person I spoke to didn’t really have much to say, but, I’m Sorry Rob, I know you must be frustrated, I said Really, how do you understand?I asked if he had been getting paid since March, he replied, Yes. I then asked him what has he been getting paid to do since there have been no shows since March, he then told me that I was getting off track! I asked him to get someone higher up to call me. I then got a call from a higher ranked employee from the combat sports and asked the question, Can you tell me how you guys can deny everyone in the combat sports industry from promoting/competing? Because every Saturday morning I drive past all these ovals/parks full of different sports being played,full of spectators as well. I asked him if he could tell me if there’s any other sports code in NSW that isn’t allowed to be played at this time, he couldn’t think of one! He also said he understands where I’m coming from, but isn’t at liberty to say why no permits are allowed at the moment!! I then proceeded to give him a spray and let him know of my/our frustration. This employee has also been paid since COVID started and continues too. So it’s obvious that all these people from combat sports have been still getting a wage all this time, my question is....WHY? What the fuck have they been doing to justify it? See more

D...uran had defeated Scottish Legend Ken Buchanan to take his world lightweight title from him in New York in 1972. As the fight ended in controversy there was apparently bad blood between them and for 30 years they had not seen each other until I arranged for them to meet at Newcastle in 2002. Title eliminator against Lee Selby on the Usyk/Chisora undercard in the UK. His preparation has included doing rounds with Dan Kennedy and he has this week headed over to Miami for the 2nd phase of his camp for more sparring. George says he doesn't like Selby and is confident that he can destroy him, and put him into retirement on his way to becoming the mandatory challenger for the winner of the Lomachenko/Lopez showdown on October 17th.
