25.01.2022 For those who really are going stir crazy, something to do this weekend?

22.01.2022 Alright people it can be done!

19.01.2022 Since Neverest was postponed this month, our 2019 fastest solo finisher in Canberra, Elliot Cooper, needed another challenge. So he and mate Matthew Griggs ran the Centenary Trail, unsupported, in the fastest known time. Why not?

19.01.2022 Hi Neveresters all, Wow, this is a bit of a stressful time for everyone, isn't it?? I hope you're all doing ok. I just wanted to reach out to say that, like everyone else, we here are the Australian Himalayan Foundation/Neverest are trying to work out what is the best and most responsible way to go forward, for you guys, for the event and for the community. ... At this stage none of our events will have over 500 people attending even including supporters and vollies, so technically we are ok to go ahead. However we are very aware that this situation is evolving rapidly, and guidelines may change. I'll do my best to make sure we keep you all informed as quickly as we make decisions, and that we make those decisions as far in advance as we're able. In the meantime, please look after yourselves, and feel free to ask any questions you've got. I'm available on here, or via email at [email protected] and will respond even if I don't have answers yet. Thanks, Kerryn

17.01.2022 More loopy running feats - this is Melbourne Neverester Michael Cardiff spending his time wisely.

16.01.2022 Really great advice for us all.

15.01.2022 If anyone is struggling with the challenge of self isolation, or worries about the impact of the forthcoming lockdown on your running, there are some great groups popping up with hacks from runners, PTs, ultra runners etc. I like this one where people are devising their own backyard ultras! Inspirational to see someone do 750 laps around their house to make 50km Anyway, join in, keep running or walking, let us know what you’re loving. ... https://www.facebook.com/groups/628673994359121/?ref=share

14.01.2022 Looking for something to watch tonight? Three Aussies take on UTMB in The Hundred Miler, launching on YouTube at 7pm. Some of you have been there, some are dreaming of it - check out their experience.

13.01.2022 Hi Neveresters, I am so sorry to be the bearer of yet more bad news for the trail running community but this weekend’s Kathmandu Neverest Sydney event will be POSTPONED. We know this is disappointing for everyone and it is a difficult decision to make, disappointing people is always tough. But with the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to spread, we have a duty to take whatever action possible to protect those who are at signifcant risk from the virus. With an event running over ...a 30 hour period with approximately 150 people over a short track, our advice is that the recommended social distancing will be difficult to maintain. We don’t know that this is the right answer about what to do, but we do know it's better to act in the best interests of the community, and with the situation changing hourly, we have decided to err on the side of caution. We all wish this wasn’t happening - I know how hard you have trained and how much you were looking forward to the event. And the team and I have been working hard behind the scenes for months to create this awesome weekend once again, so we are also incredibly disappointed to be in this situation. At this stage we have not decided the new date for the event as we are waiting to see what the future holds with the pandemic. My broad thinking is it will be in the second half of this year. We also have not decided the future of the Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra events yet. We will continue to assess the situation as it unfolds. We hope you will be happy to hold off the admin of what to do with registrations until we have a better idea of the new dates. We will be in touch as soon as we have a solution. In the meantime if you’ve got questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me on [email protected] or via messenger through this page. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this kind of crappy time. Kerryn Race Director

12.01.2022 Looking for your next event? It may be closer than you think... #quarantravel

12.01.2022 "Athletes - we're goal orientated, we strive for things ahead of us... and when the biggest thing you've been looking forward to [is] taken away, yeah it's really hard. But there's people so much worse off. "This is not going to slow me down." Genevieve Gregson

09.01.2022 We were all off the hill by sundown! Huge thanks to all our Canberra participants, support crew and of course the amazing volunteers. We loved it. Final tally is: 3 solo 107km completed - Malcolm Brown in 18 hours, James Quaife in 19 hours 15 minutes ish, Pam Muston in 21hrs 30 ish. ... We will publish some more pics in coming days! Happy weekend all xx

07.01.2022 Neverest Sydney has been postponed. Feels like we are heading into the dark, but the dawn will come again.

05.01.2022 People of Bendigo, do you love a sausage sizzle?? Kay and Russel Henthorn are selling snags this Saturday outside the Eaglehawk IGA - all proceeds go to support the work of the Australian Himalayan Foundation in Nepal. Thanks to Fairleys SUPA IGA Eaglehawk for their contribution!

03.01.2022 Some amazing boundaries being broken this weekend. Payton Heffernan has never done more than a marathon distance before, and today did 35 laps (over 80km) and over 5500m elevation. His brother Levi came to support him, not having run more than 10km in the past, and did 15 laps (35km)! Just great to see people pushing themselves.
