20.01.2022 This would have been my outfit for Revive Second-hand Fashion Festival but the rain had other plans So much work went into pulling the event together, from Brisbane City Council, LOUD events, to the stylists @steelemystyle @hattienixon @kimbralou, to the opshops and all the incred models who volunteered to rep recycled on the runway, I still can’t believe it didn’t go ahead! It would have been an amazing day and I’m 100% disappointed it didn’t happen (even after all the co...vid safe planning ) but I am grateful for the rain...even friends in Gracemere got a downpour and they so desperately needed it! Theres a lot going on in the world rn so its hard to stay across it all and tbh I had no idea the situation in Yemen was so dire until my friend shared some photos of kids who are suffering severe malnutrition...I dont normally cry when Im scrolling insta but it broke me According to the UN, Yemen is facing the worlds worst h...umanitarian crisis due to an ongoing civil war and a massive shortfall in funding and now with COVID theyre facing an emergency within an emergency. Its so easy to feel paralyzed and helpless when youre halfway across the globe but if you can make a donation there are some amazing aid organizations helping over there who Ive tagged in the photo.
