15.01.2022 More good news today for those thinking of building a new home! Those thst don't qualify for the federal grant can still get the WA grant as it isn't means tested and property values aren't capped!

15.01.2022 A couple approached me recently wanting to build a 2 story farmhouse type home in an estate that doesn't allow 2 story homes. After doing some in depth research into the covenants and allowable build heights, I determined that while 2 story homes aren't allowed in the estate, we could build a single story home with a mezzanine style loft an could even get a balcony on the front looking out over a golf course across the road to boot! Needless to say, the clients are very happy... with the end result and can build the home they want in their favoured area without having to compromise on what is important to them. Sometimes estate guidelines and covenants make broad statements about what you can and can't do but that doesn't mean you can't get what you want. It is important to have a professional on your side that can differentiate between what is said in those guidelines and what can actually be done and come up with a solution that works for all parties.
