21.01.2022 The Centre has re-opened in 2012. We are busy preparing new research documents on peak power and radiation to further inform our community about the benefits of including nuclear power in the debate for the future. We will also be moving forward on the issue of legislative changes to the NSW Parliament this year as one of our priorities. Call into the Centre and view some of the documents we have prepared for your perusal on nuclear power at your convenience. The Centre is open 10.30am to 3.pm. Monday to Friday.

15.01.2022 Tuesday 11/10/11. Update from NENE. Support letters have been slow but steady (+ 100) as well as 7 very vocal antis. One fellow even said I was insane. We have had intermittent protests outside the centre. We continue to gather important research information which we will share with you in due course. Our first public topic was on nuclear waste. Refer to the website for a copy of that article. www.newenglandnuclearenergy.com.au Water will be our next article with the discus...sion centering on CO2 and depletion of O2. We received encouraging stats from a UK survey which parallels our feelings that more men are in favour than women of nuclear power. Regretably the media continue to promote negativity surrounding Fukushima but the election of the new Mayor of Yamaguchi (Pro nuclear) Shigemi Kashiwabara is supportive. Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda is determined to restart nuclear reactors by next summer adding "that it was impossible for the country to get by without them".
