25.01.2022 The 29th September is the day each year that police officers stop to recognise those among them who have died in the line of duty. Detective Superintendent Carl McLennan from the New Zealand High Commission represented the High Commissioner and NZ Police at the national commemoration held in Canberra. He was accompanied by former NZ Police officer, Mr Alf Bidois, who is also the great nephew of Constable Louis Hekenui Bidois, one of 33 New Zealand Police officers named in t...he NZ Police Roll of Honour which records officers slain on duty. Sydney based, Detective Inspector Annie Ryan of NZ Police laid a wreath on behalf of New Zealand Police at the New South Wales Police Memorial Wall earlier in the day, accompanied by NYPD Liaison Officer, Chris Capone and his daughter. Both services recognised the death of NZ Police officer, Constable Matthew Hunt, who was slain on duty in June this year. See more
