17.02.2022 Everyone knows to go for their 2 & 5 to keep a healthy body, but what can you do with all those leftover scraps? Compost them! It’s important to remember seasonal differences with these foods, as certain fruits and certain veggies will do different things for your compost. For example, winter-time brings us the freshest citrus in Australia, but those making their own composts at home should be careful, as the acid in these fruits actually harm our wriggly little worm friends.

11.01.2022 We are a generation that has everything at its fingertips and with that comes waste. According to https://www.ozharvest.org/what-we-do/environment-facts/ -food waste in Australia costs 20 billion dollars. -5 million tonnes of our food ends up in landfill. -35% of household waste is food. ... If food waste was a country, it would be the third biggest emitter of greenhouse gases after USA and China. We may not be able to eradicate food waste, but a little is better than none, we take that food waste process it and turn it into our product. Saving on emissions and over flowing landfill, at the same time producing a soil enriching product

09.01.2022 The main purpose of our business idea is to collect the majority of food waste from grocery stores. We then aim to use this food waste as the input source to our large scale composting system, using aerobic processes and worms. This process includes the by-products of ‘worm juice’ and compost. The generated product will be sold to regular consumers as well as large and small-scale agricultural firms. These organic by-products are then used by farmers for their agricultural processes. The farmers are then able to promote their product as organically produced which in turn will allow them to charge a price premium as well as cater to the ever-growing market demand of environmentally conscious consumers. #farmers #organic #produce #environment #crop #plants #vegetarian #local #support #NewAgefertiliser
