16.01.2022 It has been my privilege to help so many families welcome their new babies into this world. I love working in this country but I really loved working in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)

12.01.2022 It was a pleasure to help this family early in their parenting journey. It shows that Postnatal education in the first 7 weeks creates a wonderful foundation to empower parents, builds confidence and reduces the second guessing. We are here to help set your parenting journey on the right foot.

01.01.2022 QUESTION : My 6 1/2 month old loves to sit up or stand up (supported) but hates laying on their tummy or back, is this a problem? NBS ANSWER: A variety of positions is what is best for their developing muscle tone/posture/strength/muscle memory. We need little ones to have opportunities to change their position ie rolling independently (both directions) and coming up onto all fours. These 2 things help the child to learn balance, self correction, create core strength for ...lifting their tummy off the floor and motivation to move in a forward and backward motion. It is especially important for these little ones to crawl before they walk, for brain development. This is the main reason we want them to continue using exposure to tummy time. Solutions; * Give them short exposure to back and tummy time. * Avoid moving them as soon as they cry but slowly build up how long you leave them in these positions. * Try to limit too much standing or using devices like bumbo chair/rockers/bouncers/standing play gyms as their MAIN posture during awake time. Try to keep it under 20-25 minutes. * Lay down on different floor covers with them ie carpet, timber, tiles, gym mats or even on the bed together for play time.
