15.01.2022 Today is World Diabetes Day and this year’s theme, ‘The Nurse and Diabetes’, aims to raise awareness of the crucial role nurses play in supporting people living with diabetes. Keeping diabetes under control is important at any age. But as you grow older, living with diabetes can be further complicated by other chronic health conditions. Our nurses are Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency accredited with experience in all aspects of community health.... Nurses account for 59% of health professionals and we are so very proud of our team and the work they do. #WorldDiabetesDay #Nurses #CommunityHealth #NHCH

15.01.2022 Congratulations to one of our valued nurses - Amelia, today celebrating 12 months with NHCH. Thank you for the wonderful services you provide our clients.

12.01.2022 Older generations have decades of experience to share with younger generations. So, when they have some pearls of wisdom, we should definitely listen! We know this one can sometimes be easier said than done but if you're able to, it can help reduce the stress in your life and allow you to spend money on the things you enjoy without the guilt!... Being in debt is a burden no one wants, so we think this is a great tip! #NHCH #CommunityHealth #ElderlyAdvice

10.01.2022 Remembrance Day 2020 On the 11th November 1918, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after 4 years of continuous warfare.... Today we commemorate the 102nd anniversary of the Armistice that ended World War One.... We remember those who served, those who did not make it home, those who were injured and those who continue to serve today.

09.01.2022 Better care starts with you If you are wanting an NDIS provider who puts your needs first, we're the team you've been looking for. 08.01.2022 Christmas is only two weeks away, and whilst this is very exciting (and overwhelming if you need to get organised), we want to remind all our family and friends to check-in on each other this holiday period If you think someone may be struggling this festive season, we suggest: Reaching out to them and inviting them over for a cuppa, or visiting them as a surprise.... Organising a DIY day, and make your own Christmas wreath together. Encourage them to make a new Christmas tradition. It's important that we break down these barriers, no matter the age or the person. Remember, Being kind to others is one of the easiest ways to make a difference in someone’s life. A simple smile and a friendly ‘hello’ costs us nothing but can mean the world to those on the receiving end." - Managing Director, Alison McQueen. #NHCH #Christmas #FestiveSeason #BeKind

07.01.2022 To mark World Kindness Day this Friday, we will be joining local wellness advocate Michelle Boundy in her quest to encourage more kindness in everyday life. As a recently named Community Champion for the Stay Kind Foundation, Michelle has created the Stay Kind Bathers Way 50 Challenge. Our team of dedicated nurses will be among those to join in on the walk from Merewether Beach to King Edward Park, in a show of support for the stay kind message.... Being kind to others is one of the easiest ways to make a difference in someone’s life. A simple smile and a friendly ‘hello’ costs us nothing but can mean the world to those on the receiving end." - Managing Director, Alison McQueen. #NewcastleAndHunterCommunityHealth #NHCH #WorldKindnessDay
