The Kauko Café which means remote control in Finnish, illustrates the importance of good design. The café is deliberately undermined by remote control affected by people all around t...he world. It is astonishing to think that people from near and far can suddenly manipulate the cafes tables, chairs, sound system and lighting. It is the unknown change in height, music and the unexpected change of lighting which make it tricky to see your partner, reach your coffee, read your book or hear on your mobile. You can experience the effect of good and bad quite quickly! The café organizers say In, Kauko, nothing is user friendly but it is so simple, so clever, so new and such fun for people all around the world. 12.01.2022 THE LIVING ROOM - CHANNEL 10 OKAY - so it's finally here - please watch the living room tonight 7:30pm on Channel 10. This is a little job that popped up a few months ago, they are doing up a child/rumpus room for which I organised the floor and selection. How exciting!!! Another little splash of Green - definitely my colour so far this year!

10.01.2022 Wow what a day...some new stuff some old stuff some comfy stuff some risqué stuff...the mind boggles. Abigail Ahearn was a great speaker, great principles that can definitely be transformed to the Australian market....and Greg Natale well what a journey from an ethnic kid living amongst flocked wallpaper prints and barque winged back chairs to the Australian go to designer for Hollywood Regency....Palm Beach 50's designs could really come to life in some of our beautiful houses in Merewether/ Bar Beach...oh and that was all before lunch...stay tuned for the other half of the day.
