24.01.2022 It’s always great to see our student successes in the Newcastle Herald

20.01.2022 Well done to the wonderful yr 11 Drama students who performed their group and individual self composed works today as part of their course assessment. Our review panel today consisted of Head Teacher CAPA, Ms Robinson, Mrs Hepple, Mr Davis who gave up his day off to come in and help and a volunteer university Drama student Miss O’Rourke. All were very impressed with the preparation, presentation and efforts from all students. They approached the day wearing their performance blacks and responded to the process with sincere engagement. A big special thanks also to our Yr 10 guest audience who demonstrated the qualities of a perfect audience as they respectfully observed and supported their peers across the day. And a big thanks to Mrs Hepple for organising things. It was a fabulous day filled with talent.

Congratulations to Year 12 Visual Arts student Tulley Powell who took out the Young Archibald Prize at the Newcastle Gallery on Saturday. An impressive achievement by a young artist who completed our accelerated Preliminary HSC Visual Art course with The University of Newcastle last year and has developed a sophisticated abstract style of painting that the gallery has recognised and applauded in selecting him as the winne...r.
