05.01.2022 **ANNOUNCEMENT** Change of dates for our next race meeting. Our next club day being the 6th September falls on Father's Day. The Committee have decided to bring this meeting forward a week and is to be held this Sunday 30th August. Due to the new NSW community sport recommendations to run competitions with competitors from within your own boundaries or zones the club has had to put the following in place.... You may compete if you reside within 100km of Newcastle RC Raceway, Williamtown. The Southern boundary being the Hawkesbury River,Western boundary being Muswellbrook and the Northern boundary being Gloucester. If you live outside of these boundaries you cannot race at Newcastle RC Raceway until the NSW sport recommendations have been lifted. We realise this will effect a few members who live outside of these boundaries. To be fair the committee have decided that the driver pointscore associated with club race days will be put on hold until all competitors can attend. 03.01.2022 We had a pretty good day at Whalan today for Round 3 of XRS. Simon made it 3 from 3 Modified wins in the 2021 series. John grabbed the last podium spot in 3rd. Steve and Tim also ran strongly finishing 5th and 8th. In sportsman 17.5, Brendan had a rough run in Qualifying but was able salvage a strong top 5 finish outright. Wombat and Iain also showed some good speed throughout the day in the B and C finals. In 1/12th Scale, Steve took a very strong 2nd outright, while Tim and... James ran consistently all day finishing 4th and 6th respectively. The next round for XRS will be at Moorebank on July 10.

02.01.2022 Time to fine tune those setups for IMCC. Open time practice this Sunday 3rd January. Gates will open from 9am and we will finish up around 4pm. Cost to practice will be $5 per driver and all monies raised will be donated to support Calvin Holmes and his little boy, Jacob who is battling Leukemia. Those who know Calvin, he is always there to help others whenever possible so it's our turn to return the favour. The Newcastle club will be holding an event, most likely in late Feb...ruary and proceeds from this event will also be donated. Stay tuned! See you Sunday. Fingers crossed with the weather.

01.01.2022 **IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT** XRS POSTPONED NSW health recommendations that come into effect tommorrow requires sporting events to cease activities that result in the mixing of participants from different regions. The club has been left in a position to postpone this weekends XRS meeting.... The Newcastle Onroad RC Car Club, series sponsor HEI as well as the series promotor are very disappointed but understand the health and wellbeing of the community is first priority.
