11.01.2022 Newcastle Private is following NSW Public Health by having all visitors wear a mask, preferably their own, while in the hospital. This is effective from today 24 July 2020. As per an earlier post visitors are limited to one person once a day for one hour except in maternity where it is one person for unlimited hours.

03.01.2022 I am pleased to announce a further easing of visiting restrictions in maternity. Mothers may now not only have their partners present on the ward with no restrictions, but one other person may visit for a maximum of one hour once a day ie. two people at the same time unless the mother is in a shared ward in which case only person at a time is permitted. As per previously, the partner and a second support person may be present at any time in the birthing suite. Thank you, Brett Dennett General Manager
