17.01.2022 Exhibition opening Friday night of works by siblings Adam & Louise Faulkner. Both Adam and Louise work in roles devoted to managing NSW’s forested country and have a deep appreciation of the environment, sustainability issues and conservation matters. ‘Natural Elements (things of stone & wood)’ shines a light on the beauty of the world in the context of our interaction with natural places and materials.... Louise’s digital fine art photography reveals her love of the wild spaces through patient attention and gentle discovery. Her focus is the landscape and the compromise revealed in the process of human appreciation and interaction. Some works are printed on archival paper, others on stone and framed with recycled timber. Adam’s love of timber is expressed through form and functional work. The grain, its treatment and the purpose of each piece are reminders of what nature can provide if we let it.
