16.01.2022 We are grateful to be able to offer Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) through our new business venture The Hummingbird Centre in 2019. The results in our pilot programs in 2018 have been incredible in helping our traumatised clients calm their minds and tolerate physical sensations in their bodies. TCTSY is an adjunctive treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) that encourages balance in the nervous system. Looking forward to supporting more survivors towards recovery.

Tara has worked within a diverse range of cultures and has experience in facilitating group and individual yoga sessions for people with complex mental health presentations. ... The emphasis in this model compliments the treatment of complex trauma as it is based on the persons internal experience rather than the external forms, therefore there is no emphasis on getting things right. The power of choice-making is up to the individual participant, not the facilitator.
