22.01.2022 NXC returns to the University of Newcastle Callaghan Campus - Birabahn this Saturday 10th August. It is a graded event this week with the runs being 2.7, 6.2 and 11km. Please see ‘this week’s run’ on the website for information on where to park. Remember to check in by 1.45pm for a 2pm start See you all there on Saturday

19.01.2022 Only 2 weeks left of the 2019 season! This Saturday 24th August is the second last week of NXC and will be held at Blackbutt Reserve - Mahogany Drive entrance (top of the hill where it meets Queens Rd). It will be a scratch event with 2.3, 4.6 or 9.5km distances on offer. Please check in by 1.45pm ready to race at 2pm. Next week will be our Presentation Day - look out for further details next week or on the website

18.01.2022 2020 Season update A big thank you to everyone for their support and patience. Due to the current circumstances that continue with regard to Covid19 we have decided to cancel all Cross Country events for May. The committee will once again re-assess the situation in the middle of May and make a decision from there based on current advice. Any merchandise that was ordered earlier in the year will be processed by our supplier. Any merchandise from 2019 that was not collected wil...l be either dropped off at people’s homes or posted out in the coming weeks. We thank you for you ongoing understanding in these matters and please know that this decision is not something the committee take lightly. Stay safe everyone and remember to look out for each other. We will get through this and run together again.

15.01.2022 After much consideration and with regret we wish to advise that the start of the NXC season for 2020 has been cancelled. At this stage we are only doing so for all events in April but will re-assess in coming weeks. The health and well being of our members is always foremost in our minds and in keeping with the response of other sporting groups, the committee feel they are unable to meet all current public health advice and guidelines considered necessary to ensure the safet...y of the club’s members. All membership activities have been put on hold with no new memberships possible until further notice. Current paid memberships will be reviewed when we have a new starting date. Please note that as the situation unfolds our program may be subject to change. We will provide an update on what the club plans to do in mid April. Please support and care for each other during this time and know that we did not take this decision lightly. Newcastle XC Committee

We are looking forward to another fantastic season of running around a variety of bush trails across the Newcastle region - please share with all your running friends. 10.01.2022 Hi everyone. Just a reminder that there is a meeting on Thursday night at the hall Nesbitt Park Kotara South at 7:30 pm. Everyone is most welcome & this meeting should finalise our program for 2020. Hope to see you there.

06.01.2022 NXC is at Jesmond Park - Newcastle Rd, Jesmond - this Saturday 17th August. This week is a handicap event - 2.6, 5.1 or 9km. There is only 3 weeks of XC left for the season so make sure you get out there and have a run! Remember to check in by 1.45pm ready to race at 2pm. See you at Jesmond Park

05.01.2022 31st August 2019 - Presentation Day This Saturday is our last NXC of the season and our annual Presentation Day. This year we are finishing the season in the same place where we started - Richley Reserve, Blackbutt. We will be meeting at the Kingfisher Shelter - walk up the hill to the flat grass area at the top. As always, we will hold our mixed relay run (all competitors run 2km). So get in early before 1.30pm to organise a team so we can start at 2pm. The Presentation of awards will commence at the conclusion of the relays. This is a fun day and a BBQ and drinks will be provided to all members and their families. Don’t forget your picnic rugs, deck chairs and mozzie spray! We look forward to seeing you all there
