21.01.2022 It was with a feeling of some nostalgia for 10 years of competition, or that this may be the last time that we can play the Jesmond Jam in the same way that we finished our rounds this afternoon. The course was in peak condition, thanks to JJ, Simmo and Chilly for setup and we had the largest field ever competing with 44 players from around NSW, ACT and Victoria. (Thanks to those who travelled!) The competition was fought at a high-level as well with 2 divisions being tied after the completion of play - Chris Hill winning MPO in the playoff over JJ and Kelly Wickham prevailing after an epic 3 hole playoff over Sam Ockerby in FA4. 14.01.2022 It is very hard to start this post and what I'm about to say makes us very sad! Yesterday morning we were sure that we could go ahead with our tournament and it... was looking all good until the news came about ACT (people are advised to avoid Sydney unless it's necessary to go there) and increased COVID cases in Sydney. While we feel that disc golf is important, it is more important that everyones safe! We have to reconsider and with heavy heart I have to let you all know that we'll cancel our event Everyone who made the bank transfer please contact us with your details so we could transfer your money back. For Sydney people we'll have a regular social day! (2 rounds, red and yellow course) Once again if you feel unwell please stay home and if you have been to any hotspots please self-isolate and get tested! Stay safe!

09.01.2022 2016 was feared to be one of the last Jesmond Jam events as plans were underway for an extension to the Newcastle bypass. The course is still alive and well with peak time congestion on Newcastle Road still a nightmare.
