23.01.2022 Throwback Thursday - 2011 Junior School Staff We are fortunate to have had so many wonderful teachers and staff members at Newcastle Grammar across the years. Many of us may recall a teacher that had a profound impact on our lives; helping us to discover our strengths and interests that later paved the way for our careers and passions. Who were the teachers that shaped your journey during and beyond NGS?

17.01.2022 Throwback Thursday - a history of celebrating women Over the past week, NGS has partaken in a variety of celebrations for International Women's Day. Did you know that the School, as we know it today, was opened in 1918 and known as Church of England Girls' Grammar School? We are proud of our history in championing the education of girls in the Hunter Valley region, as well as the incredible paths forged by our many female alumni - many of whom have been able to pursue opportunities today that the women of 1918 would only have dreamed of!

11.01.2022 Throwback Thursday - Year 12 2012 Year 12 is a memorable year for most, between study, exams, new responsibilities and planning for the future. But, amongst the challenges of the final year of school, our close-knit NGS community have always made time for making fun memories and sharing in celebrating each other's accomplishments. Here's one of them - the 2012 'muck-up' photo! We look forward to seeing these former students again next year for their 10 year reunion. How time flies!

09.01.2022 Throwback Thursday - ANZAC commemoration over the years. NGS students have always taken an active role in acknowledging the importance of our ANZACs across the years. Pictured here is our SATU unit from 2006 joining the Newcastle ANZAC March outside the School, followed by an undated picture of CEGGS girls participating in another March. The final two images are of our SATU unit marching in 1994.
