25.01.2022 Wow! We are blown away. Our 24 Hour Quadruple Giving Day managed to raise more than $115K and more than $29K came from our NurtureGroup families! We are so inspired and overwhelmed by your support and want to send a HUGE thank you to everybody who helped. Congratulations also to Nepean NurtureGroup who were the highest fundraisers, raising $4,492! Thank you all again!

22.01.2022 Hello Miracle Families, We hope you are all keeping well during these challenging times. 2020 has been a difficult start with bushfires, floods and the pandemic. Sadly, our face to face services were suspended in March 2020. The suspension in services and unknown period together with very limited funding available during this time, unfortunately saw our staff team become a little smaller. We have had an amazing staff team and thank them for their service to premature and sick... babies and their families. As we work toward a future where we can once again support our miracle families through our face to face services, the support and passion from our volunteers will be vital. In re-establishing as many services as we can across Australia as restrictions ease, we please ask you to consider applying to join our volunteer team and supporting families. Please contact us today and we look forward to hearing from you. See more

20.01.2022 ***SURVEY, Can you help?*** The aim of this study, called ‘COHESION’, is to develop a Core Outcome Set for use in research studies of treatments for neonatal encephalopathy. Neonatal encephalopathy is a condition that can occur in newborn infants when they have had a lack of oxygen, and this can cause complications with the infant’s brain. Neonatal encephalopathy is one of the leading causes of brain injury in newborn infants.... How do I know if I can take part in this study? You can take part in this study if you are over 18 years of age and are a parent or other family member who care, or have cared for, an infant who has been diagnosed with and received treatment for neonatal encephalopathy. What will I have to do? If you are interested in taking part in this study, please email us at [email protected] and we can send you on a Participant Information Leaflet that gives more detail on this study. If you agree to take part in this study, we would like to ask you some questions. This is called a research interview. The interview will be done via a video call, using a video conferencing software called Zoom. The interview will take place at a day and time that suits you. 10.01.2022 Good Afternoon, we hope everyone is keeping well during these times. Our NurtureGroup's are still suspended for the moment, however we look forward to when we can restart NurtureGroups once restrictions are eased. We have now set up a private group for our NurtureGroup families for improved privacy. If you are a NICU/SCN family attending or interested in attending our Newcastle NurtureGroup please contact [email protected] so we can invite you to the new private group. We have also sent out invites for current registered families to join the new private group. For past families of NurtureGroup we wish you and your family all the best and please follow our main page for continued updates on premature and sick babies and their families.
