25.01.2022 To all the young people and the families we have worked with this year. A big thank you for allowing our small charity into your life and hearts. We are grateful for the trust you place with us when working with your children. We have a small number of Xmas Turkeys left over from a generous sponsor (a huge number already delivered). If you are in need or if you would like one please reach out to us (FB message is fine).... Collection can take place this afternoon from our Brisbane/Ipswich/Lowood locations. Merry Xmas and have a happy New Year, we look forward to seeing you again in January 2021 !!

Our youth workers will go the extra mile to see that smile !! ... Patrick was more than happy to let a young person paint his nails. Thats what makes our services different

23.01.2022 After school cafe meetings !!! Building connections that allow us to work hard towards our goals We debrief over some hot chips and talk about the day. I am very proud to announce this young man had no detentions today and he was super proud of himself, so is the New Childrens Pathways Team Be great if its the same outcome tomorrow

20.01.2022 Important notice to all current Facebook page followers and valued supporters. Due to the change of this years committee members, the Facebook page may be de-activated. This means that the Charity will only have a presence on the following website: www.Newchildrenspathways.org.au ... The founder of the organisation (Peter) previously had the account linked to his person account and this is causing some technical issues with the website and our other social media platforms. The team are hoping that there is a work around from this, as we would love to keep this page fully active under a seperate account and not lose any of you followers. As a Charity we thank you for your support over the past 5 years and hope that you will be able to follow any new social media platforms that may be developed as alternatives. The team expect’s the growth and scale of what the Charity is becoming is far outside of Peter’s initial hopes and dreams. It was a Fantastic collaboration between two of the New Pathways Group Services. New Childrens Pathways & New Pathways Disability Services, complimenting each other in a number of ways, this truely was a match made in heaven

16.01.2022 Big shout out to our team of volunteers today The Team would also like to specially thank the market organiser Chantelle for allowing us a free stall to operate our pop up cake stall. Our products are all hand made by kids and volunteers and every cent goes towards the activity costs for the children involved in the work we do.... The volunteer cake makers (Rita, Jess and Celia) what a great job Fantastic outcome a little under $200 for the day !!

14.01.2022 Good Morning, We are advertising our AGM for this Saturday 16th January, 2021. The meeting will be held at the Bellbowerie Sports and Recreation Club (BSRC) 70 Sugarwood Street, Bellbowrie, Brisbane, 4070 for a 5 pm start (if Covid-19 issues arise we will move the venue to one of our committee members homes). Committee members will be present from 4pm to answer any questions and to complete proposal forms ect. The venue is extremely family friendly and some nibbles will be... provided after the meeting. Are you interested in making a real difference to young people, do you have the energy to help this small organisation grow? We have been running now for 5 years and we make a real difference in the lives of local kids we have the privilidge to work with. We are registered under the Collections Act and we are active in the local community not abroad (like some other Charaties). Come down, have a chat, meet some kids (yes we have kids advising our board!!) explore the commitment, speak to other committee members and see what the organisation is about. We don’t ask much but we can guarantee you’ll get lots from us. It’s never been so important to put back into the community. This year we would like to add the following skill sets: (1) Are you good with IT/social media/web updating (2) Volunteer Co-Ordination support (3) Training and Development (4) Grants Officers and Fundraisers (5) Student placements (6) Academic projects for BA (hons) & Masters (7) Grandparents who have life experience (8) Young adults who understand the types of children we service (9) Health professionals who like to do Pro-Bono work (10) Anyone who can make a small difference in some shape or form !! We expect to have our ACNC registration approved this year and this will mean that opportunities in the wider New Pathways Group may become available. All volunteers last year got some paid work through New Pathways Group and even a few transitioned into full time paid work (our founder employs directly from our pool of workers for any paid work he can offer). 14.01.2022 *********Breaking News*********** We have acquired a space to run our services from. We are absolutely pumped to get our own little office. Its a humble start for a humble charity. We have run out of the back of cars, public spaces, peoples homes, clients homes, church halls, park benches, you name it, weve done it !! If you dont believe us, ask the kids we have the pleasure of supporting. ... Obviously we need support to kit out this office space. Its not big, buts its going to be a safe place for kids to just drop in any time in the Loeood area. We will eventually be open 7 days a week and we will be running programs galore. Can you help us out? There are a number of ways you can help! Can you spare a few hours on a working bee? Can you donate a few bucks through our website? 13.01.2022 I know theres a lot politically going on at the moment. We havent been able to run many extra activities lately due to lack of resources. In fact, our little charity has struggled to get to the end of the year in terms of funding for activities like this. Can you please like/share what we do. We know its coming to end of the tax year and people may want to reduce any liabilities by way of donations. As a registered charity we can provide % tax deductible gift invoice...s. We are non religious/political normally but we know that we spend every cent on the kids we work with. As an organisation ideation we honestly believe that your tax $s are better diverted to us rather than the ATO. Without you, we can not do our work. We would have to become a normal run of the mill agency. Kids would be left without support as we focus our efforts on the kids that fall through the gaps. If you cant donate due to finances, please at least like and share for me, it would be greatly appreciated Quick link to our website.

13.01.2022 Sad faces at the camp draws to an end. We put 20 kids through this years camp, some staying 4 nights, some just visiting for a day trip. 07.01.2022 Tomorrows Activity will be held at the Jindalee Boat Ramp and surrounding area. Meet up time will be 10:30 till about 2:30. We will be using the play area, some soccer, fishing and food to finish off our day. We have no capacity for transport, all volunteer vehicles are full. We are hoping any young people we have not contacted, can get a lift to come and join us. ... Can you contact our team if you are thinking of attending? 06.01.2022 The New Childrens Pathways Team would like to announce that we have recently linked in with Justice Connect (Melbourne) who will be linking us in with a pro bono legal team in Brisbane. The legal team will be assisting us to change our legal structure and work towards full Australian Charities and Not For Profit Commission (ACNC) registration. We want to be in a stronger position this year, with not only our new office location but with more volunteers and better fundrais...ing activities. We need to be more competitive in this current climate, so that we can offer more young people the opportunities to engage in activities and receive both therapeutic support and advocacy. 01.01.2022 We are pleased to announce some big changes coming up within the structure of the Charity. We move towards national accreditation with the ACNC and we will remain true to our core values. These are simple: - Breakfast Clubs... - Weekend Activities - After school support - Camps - Water Sports - Making wishes come true Our founder is stepping back from frontline delivery for the next 12 months in order to concentrate on building up the charities capacity. The aim of this is to work towards being in a better position to reach more young people. Peter will still be working hard in the background and the service is currently recruiting more clinical staff and volunteers. The Team want to thank Peter for his hands on approach over the last 5 years and we thank him for his efforts (we are sure the 268 young people he has assisted over this period thank him too!).
