25.01.2022 Wash n Wear laundromat extension coming along . Wall Whitehead tiling have paid a visit with Wal and Mason working over the weekend to keep our program on track, thanks guys ! Kmac Painting only has a couple minor touch ups to complete their works and have excelled again as we come to expect from this quality outfit. Final touches over the next couple days and hoping to hand over by the end of the week Stay safe and stay tuned ...love to all

25.01.2022 Big week so far.....the STE boys & Lawlor Plumbing fitting off the new Tattoo shop at the DTC with Black Label Tattoo Collective opening soon !! Looks a mess now but hand over before Santa Comes more to come soon. Another big concrete pour finished set up today with the pour of another 100 odd cubes set to go in tomorrow....,,And just to mix it up timber frame done this week as well Good work boys !! ......and girls Oh and no rest for the wicked with the next stage of concrete prep over the weekend

22.01.2022 Got a bit going on today at this little project extension to the Wash n Wear laundromat at the DTC ....... KMac painting has released the new recruit Riley the 8 inch slugger with Brock leading the way. Armstrong Commercial Plasters finished the tile ceiling and now Newcon breaks through the dividing wall to open up between the two areas. Wal Whitehead tiling in tomorrow Love to all during these times , stay safe and stay tuned

20.01.2022 Over the past few weeks we have all had to deal with the China Virus......Covid 19 but we still managed to deliver this project to our great clients Peter from COUNTRY ROASTS. Yes that’s right Country Roasts are opening this Friday at the DTC Please get there and support this local buisness who provides great roast meals along with friendly fast service (take away of course) I must thank the trades who have pushed through some trying times over the last week or so and put... in another great effort to hand this little baby over today , 3 days early to allow Peter , Justin and the team from Country Roast to get going on what they do best and that’s fill us up with some delicious tucker !! So thanks to Lawlor plumbing , Kai’s team at KMac Painting (good work Punisher) the boys from Steve Tudor Electrical for all the help along the way inc today’s last minute request. Bernie and the boys from BK Joinery for another great job , especially with the design to integrate the appliances into the front counter. Chris from Armstrong Commercial Plastering , Rick from Ballarat Epoxy Floors, Danny King for the mechanical works and my old mate Vince from ICK commercial kitchen specialists for all the help from concept stage through design & then of course supply and install all the equipment and the copious amount of stainless steel including the massive canopy over the new cookers , fryers and ovens. Last but not least my team at Newcon !! & not to forget the lovely Kathy who came off the interchange bench once again & spent most of last Saturday cleaning the stainless steel and everything else that needed to be wiped, scrubbed or mopped !! Love to all in these crazy times , look after yourself & your familes’s & stay safe

20.01.2022 Friday’s pour of 100 m3 went was tough but went well in the end. Straight onto the next stage with bulk excavation starting yesterday. Sunday morning silence before we fire up to continue the preparations for this coming Fridays pour.......no rest for the wicked ........oh and a sneak peek of our shop fit out to the new Tattoo studio at the DTC .......... Black Label Tattoo Collective opening soon

19.01.2022 Natures Fresh Juice bar opening this week !! It’s been a tight push for this one but very happy with our great contractors as always. Thanks to Lawlor Plumbing, Steve Tudor Electrical, KMac painting, Delta Floor world, Dale Sparkman plastering, BK Joinery, Robert Young Signs, Mark Page, ICK commercial kitchen design specialists and my team at Newcon . Scott Hughes for holding the fort on our other projects, Sophie New, Logan Taylor, Cooper New for helping out when we were under the pump (thanks to his boss Steve from STE for making this happen) And Kathy New for helping with final touches and final clean. It’s been a team effort (and family) to delivery this quality project to our very happy clients

16.01.2022 Additions to Wash n Wear laundromat at the DTC starting to take shape. Demolition and framework well underway with Chris Armstrong Commercial Plastering doing the plastering and suspended grid ceiling. Lawlor Plumbing and the boys from Steve Tudor Electrical have been busy roughing in services with some neat cabling and pipe work. G&D Mechanical have completed the mechanical alterations and we are now ready for the industrial dryers from Speed Queen to be installed. Oh and it won’t be long before we call on our good friends at KMac Painting to slap some jam.........I’m sure the one inch punisher will deliver again The team from Wal Whitehead tiling have also commenced works and won’t be far away from returning to site to continue their good work. 15.01.2022 mmmmm......... what’s going on here at Newcon’s current project ? We can’t say too much just now other than the KMac Painting boys have just slapped some jam here led by young gun Tom - the 1 inch punisher Armstrong Commercial plasterers did the plastering to a great standard with Steve Tudor Electrical and Lawlor Plumbing back on site handling the services. ICK have taken care of the industrial stainless steel canopy and the boys from BK joiner have installed the carcasses on the joinery package ready for the stone tops. Oh the the boys installed the auto sliding door this morning also so a productive day so far ! Watch this space in the coming week

12.01.2022 BLACK LABEL TATTOO COLLECTIVE is now open This job pushed us to the limit leading into Christmas with the final inspection and Certificate of Occupancy issued Late Thursday to enable the guys to open Friday and be well and truly up and running before Santa’s visit A special thanks to Steve Tudor Electrical, particularly Jesse & Coop for completing not only our contract works but all the additional works the client requested, The boys from KMac painting with Matt ensuring all was completed on time to a great standard as always, Lawlor Plumbing , BK Joinery, Delta Floorworld and my team at Newcon , Soph, Scott and Steve who had a last minute mercy dash to put a couple final items in to finish off Thanks Guys, love to all and have a safe & Merry Christmas

12.01.2022 Nothing better than night shift on a Monday night Newcon team living it up in Torquay getting into some demolition. Starting to feel old, we built this part of the supermarket 15 years ago !!

12.01.2022 This guy is a gun on the excavator ! Brad from Brad Donald Excavation showed his skill today on this site cut & ground stabilisation for a new factory . First we cut 250mm - 300mm of top soil and fill to reach suitable sub base. Geo fabric layed over sub base and then started building up the crushed rock. We will continue the task tomorrow to bring up to design level for the concrete ground slab

10.01.2022 And the fun begins ! Hoarding is now up at the Delacombe Town Centre to allow the building works to commence on the new Nature’s Fresh Juice Bar.

07.01.2022 Roof replacement works to a non compliant roof that was causing some headaches for the guys at DOJO on Main Road leaking. Total removal of old corri iron, re grade timber structure and replace with new colourblond Kliplock sheets. Been a pleasure working with Denise White and the guys at DOJO the past week along with the help of our number 1 Plumbing contractors Lawlor Plumbing . Final touches today to wind up another busy week,

06.01.2022 The juice bar at the Delacombe Town Centre is coming along nicely with joinery coming in today. Outside serving window installed & Vinyl tomorrow with the Kmac painting team to follow. Fit off off stainless steel benches next week Keep an eye out as we are aiming to complete in the coming weeks and looking forward to a nice smoothie when we’re done

03.01.2022 Natures fresh juice bar at the DTC nearly finished Stainless steel benches and equipment installed today from our good friends at ICK. Joinery 90%. Complete with the stone bench tops goin in tomorrow Plumbing fit off and final touched next week

01.01.2022 Productive day today ! We had the boys from Super City concrete cutting on site today. These guys are the ultimate professionals when it comes to cutting Conc. Today they pulled out this weapon , track saw that can cut flush with floor and dead straight both vertical and horizontal. Today’s task was wall sawing and removing a section of 150mm thick precast wall for new fire exit door. These sections way about 400kg each ! The boys did a great job as always ...
