15.01.2022 Toyota Hilux rear wheel bearings finished off this afternoon unfortunately the original seals weren’t doing there job and over time moisture had gotten inside and corroded the housing and contaminated the bearings. All areas were cleaned up and new bearings, collars, ABS rings and seals were installed. Another one out the door have a good weekend everybody!

Catch cans are designed to catch any oil contaminants being fed back through your intake system from your engines PCV system. 02.01.2022 And that’s a wrap!! Proudly presenting the 2010 VE SS with an upgraded 6.2L LS3 V8 engine with a supporting Tremec TR6060 6 Speed Gearbox. Both with 0kms! What an exciting/stressful/rewarding journey it has been. ... The journey began when the original 6.0L LS2 motor went bang. After dismantling, turned out a camshaft lobe had worn down, damaging a hydraulic lifter wheel, further causing mis function of the exhaust valve which slapped against the piston then broke the valve seat causing carnage inside the combustion chamber. Unfortunately due to metal contamination in the oil, the motor was unsalvageable. Out with the old and in with the new! The new engine was assembled with brand new parts. Sensors, gaskets, seals, pulleys, HT leads, injectors, the list goes on. The only original parts from the old motor was the intake manifold and throttle body, and all 8 ignition coils. Everything else was brand new. Once back together and running, the next stop was the dyno. Brand new running gear, a cold air intake and X Force extractors and exhaust system combined with a clean tune, it now produces 313rwkw/420hp with 495nm of torque. A good amount of power for an around town daily driver. The job was at times challenging whilst managing a busy workload, but we got there! A lot of care, attention and precision has gone into this job and I am extremely pleased with the finished product. @ New Era Automotive
