25.01.2022 FREE COFFEES FOR TEACHERS UPDATE We are so stoked and grateful for the support we've received in the first week of our Free Coffees For Teachers initiative! Thank you so much to Neil Angus MP and Rise & Grind 3133 regular customer Melissa Kelly who both chipped in for a card each on Friday to boost our cause! ... We've now equalled our total for our Coffees For Nurses initiative earlier this year - with a total of $600 raised for 132 FREE COFFEES!! We'd love your support to smash the record and keep it going even longer. If you'd like to donate, head down to the cafe and speak to the lovely staff, or PM us on this page! Every $50 raised will provide another card of 11 free coffees. We have 37 FREE COFFEES still up for grabs so if you're a teacher from any of the four schools we've featured, be sure to head down to the cafe with your name badge or VIT card from 7am tomorrow to grab yours before they're all gone! *Maximum two free coffees per teacher, bulk orders will not be accepted. **No face mask, no entry to the cafe. ***Please remember your personal health and safety and adhere to the State Government's advice and restrictions for the coronavirus outbreak. Visit: www.vic.gov.au/coronavirus for the latest information. #newgenmelbourne #riseandgrind3133 #freecoffee #ThanksTeachers #ThanksNeil #ThanksMelissa #RotaryOpensOpportunities

18.01.2022 Great to see another club in Rotary District 9810 start up their own 'free coffees' initiative. Kudos Rotary Club of Bayswater and Uncle Louie's Cafe for showing the love for emergency services workers.

17.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who bought tickets off Kiel, Kev and Steve and at Rise & Grind 3133 for the GWS Community Raffle. Because of your generous support, an extra $280 is going into our club's coffers. In such challenging times for fundraising, your support is hugely appreciated! But the real legends are the Rotary Club of Waverley and GWS Mazda who have put this raffle together, donated great prizes, and allowed clubs to keep the profits from ticket sales. Thankyou guys! The ra...ffle will be drawn on October 19 - good luck! #newgenmelbourne #carraffle #rotaryclubofwaverley #GWSMazdaSpringvale #RotaryDistrict9810 #RotaryOpensOpportunities

08.01.2022 FACEMASKS FOR INDONESIA Our club is glad to be supporting an international cause through Rotary Club of Glen Waverley's Facemasks for Indonesia project. 07.01.2022 Get around Roger from Rotary Club of Maroondah as he walks around Dorset Golf this Sunday arvo wearing a stack of hats to raise money for Australian Rotary Health's Lift the Lid on Mental Illness campaign. Say hi (from a distance) and chuck in a few coins if you're in the area, or make a donation to the link in the post below. Well done Rog! #rotaryclubofmaroondah #liftthelid #AustralianRotaryHealth

06.01.2022 A YEAR AGO TODAY... we did something amazing. We held our Parmas For Polio dinner at The Coach Ringwood - attended by over 100 people with a special keynote speech from Past Rotary International President Ian Riseley. We ended up raising $13,300 for polio eradication worldwide - enough to give more than 5000 children a vaccination. Our success with the event also helped us receive a Rotary District 9810 award for Club Projects.... Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are obviously not holding Parmas For Polio in the same timeslot this year. HOWEVER, we are delighted to let you know that our club plans to stage Parmas For Polio again sometime this Rotary year - most likely in early 2021. We want as many people to (safely) attend as possible and make our second round of parmas even better than the first. Watch this space. Until then, given October is Polio Awareness Month - you can head to endpolio.org for more information or to donate to the cause. #newgenmelbourne #parmasforpolio #backin2021 #endpolionow #RotaryOpensOpportunties

01.01.2022 Exciting news out of Africa this week! Our club is commited to supporting the campaign to erradicate Polio worldwide. #endpolionow
