23.01.2022 TODAYS FEATURE PLANT 'ECHINOPS' Blue Globe Thistle An unusual, sun loving plant, great for those with poorer soils; it dislikes rich soils. Tall growing, up to 1.2 metres, the flowers are good in a vase. Echinops need water to get established. Once established they are very drought resistant. Well drained soil a must.

09.01.2022 TODAYS FEATURE PLANT SUNFLOWER 'RIO CARNIVAL' A showy bi-colored sunflower, growing to approx 70cm high, it is suitable for pots, small or windy gardens, or look amazing mass planted. Rio Carnival features large blooms growing on multiple stems which are perfect for popping in a vase. Of course they love a position in full sun with improved soil, or a good potting mix. Sunflowers also love water, so don't let them dry out. They take approx. 3 months to flower, so the time to plant them is now.
