12.01.2022 Dear Families, This Tuesday 18th August at 7 pm I have booked a free, live information session with Dr Adam Frasier to support families with the challenges of home learning and change in general. Dr Adam Fraser is an award-winning human performance researcher and consultant who studies how individuals thrive in challenging and evolving environments. For the last 10 years Dr Adam Fraser, in partnership with Deakin University have been studying key factors that allows us to tr...ansform and evolve our relationship with the struggle and the inevitable discomfort we experience with change and growth. This session is designed for the school community including parents, carers and guardians. The initiative is designed to provide tools for educators, parents and guardians to help their kids navigate a better and more robust relation with struggle and discomfort in order to evolve and strive. I hope to see as many parents as possible join this free live session to try to get our their head and heart around it's ok for kids to wobble! Link will be sent via Compass. 11.01.2022 If anyone in your household has any symptoms of COVID, including a runny nose, you need to get tested for COVID. If anyone in your household has a test, you and your whole household must remain in quarantine (not come to school even if "well") until negative results have been received. Parents/carers are not allowed on the school grounds. Please phone or email if you need assistance with anything. Please try to have your child equipped with everything that they need for the d...ay, when you drop them at the bike shed entrance each morning (8:45am is the best time to drop them off). We must do everything we can to keep our school community safe. Thank you for being part of our strategy to stay safe

04.01.2022 Staggered Return to School Information: Monday 25th May - Curriculum Day (Student free) No home learning, no on-site supervision. Tuesday 26th May - Prep, grade 1 & grade 2 return to school. ... Friday 5th June - Report writing day (Student free). No students at school, no home learning. Monday 8th June - Queen's Birthday, public holiday. Tuesday 9th June - Grade's 3, 4, 5 & 6 return to school. *All students are expected back at school as it is safe to do so. No further home learning provided from this date. PLEASE NOTE: Parents CANNOT enter the premises at all. Students will be met by the Principal, teachers and support staff at the BIKE SHED entry point, Cleeland St. The front office is not available for drop off or pick up. All forms etc. will be sent electronically and will need to be returned electronically. Please do not send your child to school if they are unwell, keep them at home.

A show created especially for our school! Dazzling Dan will perform an interactive magic show for us, and even teach us all how to perform our own magic trick! So make sure you have time on Thursday August 27 at 12:30pm to attend this special event on Webex. All Newhaven Primary families are welcome (and encouraged!) to attend.
