19.01.2022 Kindergarten teacher, Mr Brendan Jackson has this week been recognised by the Department of Education for his outstanding effort in engaging his students during the COVID shutdown. Mr Jackson created incredible videos for his class each morning which were viewed hundreds of times on social media. Mr Jackson has been awarded a Regional North Executive Directors award which he will receive later in the term. Great work Mr Jackson!

15.01.2022 On Wednesday excited Year 2 students visited Maitland Regional Art Gallery to view exhibitions and create their own artworks . Students were placed into four groups to experience the variety of art forms in Artexpress. ( yr 12 HSC Art students) and Made/ Worn ( Australian contemporary jewellery). The code breaker activity /art finder quiz also allowed students to explore . The following images show our artistic students at the gallery .

13.01.2022 To mark the end of their penultimate term of primary school, our year 6’s held a mini-celebration at Alder Park with activities, games and a picnic lunch that included pizzas, lemonade and zooper doopers. Thanks for a memorable and fun term 3, year 6

13.01.2022 In weeks 6 and 7, Stage 3 students participated in a High School Experience. This has included Science with Mrs Leto and Miss Denny, Creative Arts with Miss Dixon, English with Mr Hawke, Mathematics with Mr Campbell and PDHPE with Mr Griffin. Students were provided with timetables and followed this to rotate to each of their classes in the right room at the right time! The lessons were hands-on, and included conducting experiments, performing plays, engaging in maths investig...ations, learning first aid skills and writing narratives. We are so proud of the collaboration, participation, resilience, problem solving and enthusiasm students displayed by our students throughout this experience! - Stage 3 teachers
