11.01.2022 Have you noticed that a sense of control can be very illusive? I certainly have! When we try to overcontrol, we can become pedantic, micromanaging everything around us. Accumulatively, it creates a lot of frustration, stress, unnecessary workload, and very little output or progress for everyone involved. When we overcontrol, we often become preoccupied with creating solutions for problems that we don’t have! And the MORE we try to control things, the LESS control we have over... them. On the other hand, when we deliberately avoid facing a real problem, it starts controlling us: our thoughts, actions, and ultimately outcomes. So, what would be a solution to this paradox? From my observation and experience, a solution resides in self-knowledge and understanding when to let go and when to take charge and act.
