After a busy couple of weeks, I'm celebrating some great wins on client projects and am looking forward to a week off to recharge and refresh over the Easter holidays. If I could go back in time, I’d tell my former self that pressing CTRL + Z on the computer reverses the mistake you just made! I can't be the only one who took waaay too long to learn this! 09.01.2022 Sometimes a change of scenery is all that's required to inspire, especially when you work from home! One of my favourite places to work is the library. As a book worm, the library is my natural habitat and is often where I am the most productive and inspired. Where do you go to be inspired and work better? Also, am I the only one who still loans books from the library? Give me some love below if you still loan books too! Us book worms have to still together.
08.01.2022 People can copy a lot of things, but not your passion. Your passion is what sets your business apart and makes it unique. Never be ashamed of it. It's ok to get overly excited when you talk about something your passionate about. IN FACT! You should seek to include your passion in your brand story, social media, and interactions with customers wherever possible. Why? Because for purpose-based businesses, this is your point-of-difference. People don't just buy your product or service. They buy your story. Your team's story. Your values. Your goals. Your purpose. Harness it and use it to its full potential. You might be surprised by what can happen when you let your light shine through.

05.01.2022 Did you know that on average 80% of all daily thoughts are negative and that 95% of those thoughts are repetitive? Scary, isn't it? It's easier to worry. About your business. About your finances. About your kids. About everything. We don't have to be a slave to our thoughts. We can rewire our brains. It takes practice and discipline and begins with gratitude. ... Gratitude for the small things like waking up in the morning and realizing that every day is a new opportunity. Before you check your phone or put your feet on the floor of a morning, start your day by listing 3 things you are grateful for. You will be surprised how quickly this can shift your perspective for the day ahead. ---- If you're really struggling to shift your negative thinking, try this: 1. Grab a pen and paper and list every negative thought you're having 2. Create another column and write down at least one positive thought for every negative one If you're stressed about your business, write down how your business is serving others and making a difference. If you don't like someone's behaviour, write down one positive thing about that person. And so on. It's not easy to rewire our brains, but it can be done with practice. 03.01.2022 Do you have a growth mindset or a limited mindset? So much of what we do/don't achieve in life comes down to our mindset. The old saying of, "you can do anything you put your mind to", is true! I designed New Life Marketing's website which was something that I never thought I'd do because I am definitely NOT a web developer. BUT, with practice, a little bit of self-training and help, and a positive mindset - I did it. It is amazing what you can achieve with the right mindset, regardless of your level of abilities, skills, or history! As you head into a new week, try to adopt a growth mindset and watch what happens.
