21.01.2022 TEMPORARY CLOSURE 16th - 21st of March Due to the looming economic downfall caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic our Innisfail recycling center will be closed to all public customers this week. We will not be making any scrap purchases or vehicle purchases during this time. The coronavirus is having a direct impact on the international metal and commodity trade, therefore we need to take action to remove any backlog of stock that we currently have before purchasing new product to ...ensure that our company remains in a good economic position to see out what can potentially come as the situation escalates. This closure is temporary and is necessary to ensure that we can continue to service the wider community with their scrap metal needs in the near future. 17.01.2022 *Covid-19 - What we are Doing* Due to the developing health and economic crisis caused by Covid-19 we have seen a large decrease in demand for scrap metal product over the last weeks, this has caused the markets to drop dramatically and due to other economic factors we are seeing up to 50% market drops over all commodities. Because this situation is developing it is not forecasted that the markets will rebound in the foreseeable future. We here at New Life Metal Recycling are... committed to providing Recycling services to our diverse range of customers. The current times call that we must do this in a way which minimises risk to both the health and safety of our employees/contractors and our financial viability. We aim to do this with the following measures in place: - We will continue to operate, closed to the public - We will continue to purchase scrap metal product by Appointment only (When you call to make an appointment you will be asked a series of questions to ascertain whether you may pose a health risk to our employees) We retain the right to refuse entry or service to any customer. - Any scrap metal purchases will NOT be paid in Cash , we will employ a Strict EFT only policy which will be payable within 7 days in Line with our weekly payment run. - Scrap metal will be purchased at a lower price to mitigate market volatility risk, some product lines will be uneconomical for us to purchase at this time, however we will still accept all products free of charge - Vehicle purchases will be limited to Toyota Commerical Vehicles only - Our Free Car removal service will continue, however waiting times can be up to 4 weeks - We will not be selling any car parts for the foreseeable future, we will only sell complete cars (for parts); these will only be advertised on our Facebook page - NO Walk in customers will be accepted, this will be strictly enforced. Prior appointment MUST be made. These measure will be in place until further notice or until we are directed by State or Federal government to take further action.
