22.01.2022 End of the week and another concept model and teaching tool/project.

22.01.2022 This was another granny flat model but this one is a bit expensive for the standard 60m2 flat house. The goal this time, was to keep a private garden, a garage and a perception that it is larger then it is. So the granny flat looks outside into the private garden.

18.01.2022 We had a concept model sitting around and I had a few hours to play with.... ok I was looking for problems in my main template. the complex, more problems i find. Its cheaper to find the problems this way

16.01.2022 This week was a beach house, it was actually a concept house for a job in Mitchell Hwy, Orange, New South Wales. The idea was not used at that point but has been used as template for later houses

14.01.2022 One of the older ideas was another granny flat or studio/office. The idea was to build a studio as fast as possible. It contains a main room, entry, kitchenette and wash room

14.01.2022 As a whole, not a real job, but more ideas. The intention was was to use an existing building (barn) then adding a new small house with a joining walkway. The one things I did not like, was the deck and the roof on it; the centre roof on the deck is basically excessive.

10.01.2022 This was a studio for a painter (I think), allowing two rooms. The first one an office space 10m2 that looks onto the back of the building. In the main area there is a larger room 25m2 with a sink (for maybe a kitchenette). The frame is a timber construction with aluminum window frame, The cladding could be anything but large shapes looked good this week ,

09.01.2022 For a Newcastle client, we have been asked for a repeating plan that could be used for a simple slab footing. So what we have used rectangular slab, simple frame, repeating services (bathroom, kitchen and laundry) but keeping the external surface look modern but should be fast to build. The goal is that each block could be extended at a later point. By another kit or just extend the existing one. Think a "Lego" set house, plan in a way that your house can be extended at a later date

05.01.2022 We dug up an old project today, and was just comparing a similar problem. .a very steep block of land, that frankly scare me.

05.01.2022 This weeks property model is based on a Hunter Valley block of land. Really just refining the main template file and looking for it weaknesses. The goal was to model faster and i did find a few problems that could refined or save time. Basically, time is money in this industry.

03.01.2022 A small block of units for university students was a concept project this week. The main goal was again a repeating pattern for construction. The main was not obvious but was an elastic and repeating changes. So if one room changed all four did at the same time and adjust to spacing.
