25.01.2022 Need a music stand? Heres a few good options in the $10-15 range with free delivery! Cheers http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html

24.01.2022 Some week inspiration to go with our beginners first lesson. It's good to watch someone live onstage playing what you all got close to in week 1! https://youtu.be/AhcttcXcRYY

24.01.2022 Just sayin... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1550068578347481&id=367116489976035

24.01.2022 If you look close the chord shapes will look different to what weve learnt. Your playing the same chords, but in a different position, a good example of how we can tweak things a little to make it easier but still sound right! https://youtu.be/WsptdUFthWI

24.01.2022 Be warned, these can be downward spiral into late nights on youtube, but Tiny Desk Concerts have some truly inspiring acts. Play "spot that chord" and combined with the acoustic guitar closeups it's almost like practice! Check out Hozier, Oh Hellos, Pete Frampton, The National, Cat Stevens, Nickel Creek, The Civil Wars for a start https://youtu.be/rwvCEWWWt7Q

22.01.2022 To offset the greatness, its worth remembering there are only 12 notes from which all music you know and love is created (western music and in tune guitars at least) and very few use all of them! Music can be infinitely complex or beautifully simplistic... ***Small language warning****...skip to 1:00 to avoid... https://youtu.be/Co9mW_9hH2g

21.01.2022 So whats a capo and do I need one? A capos handy but not essential, what it lets you do is change the key of a song (make it sound higher) but still play the same chord shapes. A lot of artists will use it so they can play familiar (easier!) chord shapes, but put the key of the song in something that matches their singing range. You can play these songs without a Capo, either using the same chord shapes but in a lower sounding key, or by changing the chord shapes used. Ther...e are subtle tonal changes when suing a capo, so using one will be the most authentic match to the song trying to learn! If looking to get one, there are 1000s on ebay starting from a few bucks with free delivery. Id recommend the lever style for ease of use and function. MAKE SURE TO GET ONE FOR YOUR TYPE OF GUITAR, classical, acoustic and electric capos are subtly but importantly different! If you want something good I"d look at the "G7th" or "Shubb" brands starting from about $40-. Cheers
