18.01.2022 Newman Volunteer Fire Brigade would like to congratulate the 6 volunteer firefighters that completed their weekend Breathing Apparatus training. All thoroughly enjoyed the course and now join our other competent BA wearers within the Newman VFRS. A big thank you also to DO Dorrington & DO Brophy for making it an enjoyable and great learning experience.

17.01.2022 Today Newman VFRS travelled 200kms to a truck involved in fire, again closing Great Northern Highway south of Kumarina. The truck driver made it out safely and was transported to Newman Hospital via St John Ambulance for a check over and is in good health, whilst Newman VFRS extinguished the truck and trailers.

13.01.2022 We are saddened to hear about the passing of our past member Derek Reid this morning. Derek was a valued member back in the 80s and 90s and will be missed by all those who knew him. Our thoughts go out to Maureen and family. Tomorrow we will fly our flag at half mast in honour of Derek

12.01.2022 Did you know you can donate to us through Containers for Change? Our scheme ID is: C10281938

09.01.2022 Wow, what a crazy storm we are having! Hope everyone is safe this morning, even though we are waking up to no power. Please stay safe on your journeys this morning around town as there are a lot of trees down. Unsure when to call the SES for help? Perhaps the below might help

03.01.2022 One of the many vehicle fires we attend every year on the Great Northern Highway between Auski Roadhouse and Kumarina Roadhouse. This one was lucky to only be a trailer fire! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=2885688995047921&id=100008205468605
