21.01.2022 Please note many organisations, including rural fire services and the Australian Red Cross, are asking people to please donate money rather than food and goods, as they are unable to distribute them at the moment. However, if you are unable to donate, there are other, non-financial ways to help - including donating blood.

21.01.2022 Things We Miss is concerned with the absence of time in our day to day; time past and time present. 17.01.2022 Dear Friends, Our home is under threat! Please help us keep Thirning Villa an Artist Residency! As some of you may already know, we have been fighting to keep Thirning Villa an artist Residency for some time now. Not only will Ashfield lose its only council owned Artist Residency, Thirning Villa is one of the few galleries and arts hubs in the area. Since January 2019, New Moon Collective (Amy Mills, Eleni Christou, Kim Siew and Rosell Flatley) have been artists in residence ...in Thirning Villa alongside The Refugee Art Project. Over the last 12 months we have connected with and grown community among local residents, community organisations and artists. We regularly program public and community arts focused events at Thirning Villa, such as exhibitions, workshops, dinners, open cafes, talks and more that are either free or have a minimal fee. In addition to our public programs, Thirning Villa is above all an artist residency. The residency allows us space to create, develop, connect, produce and imagine the unseen processes of our practice are vital to every public outcomes we deliver. While we are extremely grateful to Inner West Council for giving us a home at Thirning Villa, we ask you to please help us keep Thirning Villa an Artist Residency and ask Inner West Council to continue their support of Arts and Culture in our community. As arts and community workers we already face unstable employment, income and access to spaces the Sydney arts community cannot afford to keep losing dedicated creative spaces. If you have ever visited us at Thirning Villa, appreciate and see the value in what we do, we ask you to please support us by writing to Inner West Council councillors. You can find them on the link below or please PM us for a list, tips or for a chat. https://www.innerwest.nsw.gov.au//th/mayor-and-councillors We thank you for your support. Love, Amy, Eleni, Kim and Rosell
