Plus, school holidays! Certainly seems like there are many reasons to be joyous, but most of all - that our Lord is still in control! (Song fresh out of NZ) https://youtu.be/C-0Pa6IBnLo

05.01.2022 Wandering around my garden this week I noticed my budding pinot noir grape vines and they reminded me of the importance of having hope and a belief that things will get better. These buds lie dormant throughout the darkness and cold of winter. They simply just ‘survive’ until their time comes to bloom and they are able to start their wondrous journey of growth. I’m always amazed how locked up in that tiny little bud are the plans that guide the growth of that bud into a vigor...ous vine with (hopefully for my sake) abundant fruit! In John 15:5 we read I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. Just like the buds on the vines, we have been in a physically dormant state these past few months. But there is hope that we will soon be able to flourish. And we know that locked away inside of us are the plans that Jesus has for abundant growth for all of us. All we need to do is to remain in Him. God bless - Mim (NPBC Board Member) See more

03.01.2022 Today is R U OK Day. Are you OK? is a question we need to ask genuinely and sincerely any time we notice the signs someone may be struggling. But there’s more to say after R U OK? When someone says they’re not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check in. National suicide prevention charity R U OK? has developed resources that provide simple tips to help people keep the conversation going and know what to say after R U OK? You can download them at www.ruok.org.au An...d as always, you can contact our Pastoral Care Coordinator through [email protected], or [email protected] If you need immediate crisis or emotional support you can contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 Today on R U OK Day, why not pick up the phone and touch base with someone, and lets be intentional. #theresmoretosay See more
