21.01.2022 Just a quick update on what we announced today for renters and landlords: Weve extended the ban on evictions and rental increases until the end of the year s...o if you fall behind or youre doing it tough because of coronavirus, you cant be evicted. And weve boosted new residential Rental Relief Grants up to $3,000 for tenants and landlords too if youve already received a $2,000 grant, you could be eligible for an additional $1,000. Land tax relief has doubled to 50% for eligible landlords, and a new $60 million relief fund has been established for small commercial landlords struggling to cover their costs. Were making things fairer for small business owners too, and rent reductions will now be based on the financial situation of each business. And the Small Business Commissioner now has new powers to enforce rent reductions where an agreement cant be reached. We dont want people worrying about the roof over their head or stressing over the rent right now. And these changes give Victorians a bit of extra security while we fight this pandemic.

04.01.2022 What a great day to get out and visit the local cafes and food shops on Mason St. There was a buzz of people sitting outside cafes having their lunches or waiting for their take away orders. Customers were going in and out of the local butcher and fruit shop but best of all were the smiles behind all of those masks. This is life almost as we remember it. Make sure you support local small businesses and visit them often. Call the cafes ahead to see if you need to make bookings... for a table.
