20.01.2022 Practice nurse Anna Scott and Dr Edwina Pritchard social distancing and ready to look after our flu clinic patients.

17.01.2022 From us here at Newport Doctor we'd like to thank our Practice Nurses, Anna and Tara for their amazing work! We also want to extend a huge thanks to all nurses across the globe who are working tirelessly on the front-line especially in current times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

14.01.2022 Our flu clinics are up and running! This year, due to the COVID crisis we are holding our clinics in the car park directly behind the surgery. There are separate clinics for adults and children to minimise risk of infection to our older population. Please call the practice on 99974441 or book online newportdoctor.com.au. Flu vaccines are free for patients over 65 years of age or aged 6 months to 5 years. Unfortunately we have already exhausted our 65+ allocation however we ...have a waiting list and will call you when we get out next order (hopefully in the next week or so). Here is Dr Edwina Pritchard ready to go!

06.01.2022 Children vaccines available now. Book online now! A flu vaccine offers the best defence against flu and its potentially serious consequences and can also reduce the speed of flu to others. Getting vaccinated has been shown to reduce flu illnesses, doctor’s visits, missed school days (and work days for parents!), and reduce the risk of flu-related hospitalisation and death of children. CHILDREN YOUNGER THAN 5 YEARS OLD - ESPECIALLY THOSE YOUNGER THAN 2 - ARE AT HIGH RISK OF DEVELOPING SEROUSLY FLU-RELATED COMPLICATIONS.
