20.01.2022 Launch Rugby have a few amazing camps available for Newport Juniors. The aim of the camps is to have a platform for the players to learn and practice relevant core skills, game awareness needed to play both forms of rugby at any level. The camp will provide a taste of what the elite level players are doing. They pride themselves on the camp being personal and very interactive, so the players feel valued. The majority of Launch Rugby coaching staff are current Australian 7s ...men and women's players who are all fiercely proud of representing Australia through Rugby. They are determined to win medals for Australia at the Tokyo Olympics. They are also determined to give back to the community and they have a proud historic connection with the Northern Beaches which means these camps are one way they hope to give back. Your help to connect our Olympians to today with the Northern Beaches Olympians of tomorrow would be greatly appreciated. See more

13.01.2022 We held the SJRU Annual General Meeting last night. It was a great way to wrap up a huge year and say thanks to everyone who has been involved in junior club r...ugby - so many people to thank but we are immensely grateful to everyone for supporting 10,000 kids playing rugby this year. We also welcomed some new members - a new Club in Manly Savers and two very special new Life Members, Kerry Brady and Ben Gregory, who we honoured for their long and distinguished contribution. Thanks so much for all you've done! That's a wrap for 2020 but we are already well advanced with plans for 2021. Our Sizzling 7s for Girls and Boys (new comp!) starts in February. Please get in touch with your club and let them know if you'd like to play, and of course we have all our other competitions to follow in 2021. Thanks again to all our supporters. All of us at SJRU wish you a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing break and we look forward to seeing you on the sidelines next year!

11.01.2022 Last weekend of the season for the Juniors. A massive thank you to volunteers, parents & players for helping us keep the season alive. 2020 has been has been a very different season, and we commend everyone's resilience & dedication in observing the Covid recommendations, patience with the changes to how teams can train, the draw & locations being played. All the games that we have seen our children have been smiling, everyone has put in their best effort and ultimately rug...by has won on the day and we hope 2021 will bring a great season for everyone. Take care, stay safe.....
